food is great, limited menu, great service, great cocktails. a little known gem in the area
BE CAREFUL here if you are looking for gluten free. They provided a separate menu which featured "gluten free" on one side and "vegetarian" on the other. The fried calamari was described as being coated in GF flour, but then are fried with all the regular, breaded items, making the dish ineligible. When we inquired if the GF risotto dish was dairy free, we were told yes because it was on the GF menu. When asked if she was certain, she admitted she didn't really know and would have to ask, but seemed VERY annoyed and uneducated about gluten. The restaurant redeemed itself by sending the manager over who was better versed and helped guide us through the regular menu to select GF/DF options. I ordered the burger on a bed of greens, and it was very tasty. We all enjoyed our meal, but this restaurant would benefit from providing some staff education and creating a trustworthy GF menu to keep us interested in coming back.
