We’ve been going here since they opened, before celiac diagnosis and after. The owner works very hard to have good gluten free options and trains his staff well. My celiac kiddo eats here all the time and has never had a problem. They do grilled sandwiches on panini grills but they are very careful to use foil and other measures so there’s no cross contamination. Salads are awesome and amazing cheesecakes in jars! Would absolutely recommend them!
They have pretty good sandwiches on gluten free bread! I’ve ordered the Reuben twice and been fine both times, and I’m really sensitive to cross contamination. The staff puts down tinfoil to make sure your sandwich is safe when it’s heated. They were really friendly, and the whole store has a nice atmosphere.
They do all of the paninis on a shared press, so none of those are safe. I ordered a very plain sandwich on untoasted bread and asked them to be careful about not using the same cutting boards etc but they do not seem like they deal with celiac a lot and I'm not super confident in safety here.
Steve has an amazing operation at his family oriented restaurant. I'm continually impressed by his ability to push the envelope for his customers. GF cheesecake? It's phenomenal. Paninis? Absolutely wonderful! Service? It's great! Definitely worth the drive if you aren't local; and if you are local, you should eat here as soon as possible!
We used to go here long before my family was gluten free. Once we had to go gluten free, we were devastated. Since they now have added gluten free bread, we are so happy. The food is amazing. We have never had any issues with the staff being unaware of what gluten is or how to handle gluten free orders.
