Everyone who works there was very nice and helpful. The whole menu is gluten free, dairy free and no seed oils are used. The fried chicken and waffle sandwich was delicious and so were the donut holes. In a celiac and had no reaction.
Excellent elevated food, cute space and the cocktail menu looked great. Taking a star off for service.
For a spot that promotes being GF, I received a bunch of attitude from the bartender (you order at the bar) for asking questions about the ingredients.
He also refused to help me identify a cocktail that would be gluten free and said “we don’t want people to know we’re GF, we don’t focus on that”.
His attitude towards me made me a little uncomfortable and killed the mood 🫠
Their congee is delicious!! It’s so savory and really warms you up. You grab your own menus in the front and seat yourself. When you are ready to order you can go to any bartenders and place your order. You have to leave a card with them to keep your tab open or you can choose to close out right away.
Water and utensils are self serve. The staff didn’t provide a particularly welcoming experience, and it took some time to get anyone’s attention (they definitely see you but don’t acknowledge you 😅) to place an order—even while standing right in front of them. It felt like no one was eager to help. But on the bright side, the food was absolutely delicious!
11/10 Must Visit!!
The entire kitchen is gluten free and Asian inspired. Joji, the head chef and one of the owners I believe, has exceeded expectations with this. I had the nori chips, spicy brined peanuts, pork stuffed cabbage, and the mochi donuts. Each and every item was incredible and I am impatiently waiting for my next visit.
The bartenders - Ericka, Andrew, and Yanni (also one of the owners I believe) - were all incredible. They all were attentive, noticing every little detail from refilling my water to clearing away items, quick, friendly, and easy to engage with. Andrew didn’t bat an eye at my requests to surprise me with my drinks after explaining what I liked and nailed it each time, Ericka helped me pick food items and chatted with me between drink orders, and Yanni was so on top of everything while maintaining conversation and efficacy.
I will absolutely be back and cannot wait til my next trip to the area!
Really fun environment. I loved my food and I got a Rosé wine they had. I didn't get sick and it was fun to hang out and feel normal in a bar type setting. The food is all gluten free, the alcohol was a little questionable. When I spoke with one of the bartenders he wanted to make clear that distilling liquor is supposed to remove gluten but he can't say 100% of course. So he was being cautious which is fair. Regardless, the rose was really good and the food was amazing.
I went here for the first time in a big group for a work thing and it was the best experience. The whole restaurant is gluten free, but they don’t advertise it as such. It was so amazing to be able to order whatever I want at a bar and, for once in my life, not be the weirdo not eating. No need to explain my Celiac to colleagues. The fried chicken and waffle sandwich was very tasty, but everything looked good. This would be a great place to bring people if you want a totally GF place, but one that’s not obvious.
Wow wow wow. A whole restaurant with good food I can ask my friends out to?!? Yes please. The potato chips and miso dip were a delightful surprise and the chicken waffle sandwich was so big I got two meals out of it (and it might’ve been even better the next day with that pineapple layer…drool). Would absolutely eat here again!
Definitely the coolest GF spot in town. Great cocktail menu and small food menu with no mention of being gluten free, but everything is gluten free. Owner is a celiac. The chicken and waffles was amazing and we tried several cocktails. Great bar indoors and good-sized outdoor parklet for larger groups.
