We used to eat salads here all the time, and never had a problem. Now they have the GF bread which is even better. We usually get the club, so it has lots of meat; and we always toast it because it holds together better that way.

No gluten free bread - staff has no idea what that means

My husband asked at our local Subway if they could get gluten free bread. They order led it for us! The roll came in a sealed wrapper. They changed gloves before making my sandwich. I got turkeys and cheese. It was delicious!

I have had the gluten free bun here several times and have not gotten sick. They wash their hands, change gloves and then do not touch anything except what goes in my sandwich.

GF bread is available and brownies. Ask for a manager, they will change gloves. Warning the condiments come from shared area, I got mine with only mayo.

Subway has never been and will never be safe for people with celiacs. All of their toppings for the sandwiches are cross contaminated.

They are knowledgeable with gluten free options and always use a separate board, knives and gloves. They offer salads and chips as well!

Rocked my socks off. Bread is toasted on a little paper so contamination is actually avoided

Gluten free bread is placed in the microwave on a separate sleeve and kept in the packaging to avoid cross contamination. The same employee touches the sandwich the entire time so it is not touched by multiple people to avoid cross contamination.

The subway In Walmart has gf bread finally!! I haven’t had subway in years. The bread was actually really good and I didn’t recognize it as udis or Schaers or anything so I can’t comment on the brand. You definitely need to tell the employees to switch gloves between use but it tastes awesome!

Subway on Columbia Pike in Arlington,VA has gluten free bread. This location stays open 24 hrs. I ordered through Postmates. The bread was very good. Will definitely order again.

Typical Subway, but this one actually had a gluten free wrap option which I tried instead of having a salad. Nothing special, but nice to have a handheld option for a change

You can get salads. However, you need to ask them to get food that has not been contaminated by wheat as the produce and meats have been touched by gloves that have handled wheat. It depends on your sensitivity to gluten.

Gulten Free frozen bread almost always in stock. Staff is good about changing gloves to prepare. Most of the chain in East Texas has GF Bread.

Has 6' gluten free bread for subs for only $1 more than a sub with regular bread. However, the bread was dense, dry, sweet (not to my liking, may be a matter of personal preference) and extremely crumbly. Disappointed in the quality of the bread, but at least it's an option.

Locations with a gf bun can serve a sub but you’ll have to check their complicated allergen list carefully or have a salad

This Subway no longer has gluten free bread. And after waiting in line (hungry) for nearly half an hour, today, I was told in a very rude and abrupt manner that they “never will.” Then the person behind the counter displayed an attitude that said “get out of my store so I can feed normal people” Sad.

For someone that has a gluten sensitivity but not celiac, this is an ok option. They call it gluten friendly after they open the gluten free bread from the packet. You can ask them to change their gloves, but be aware they have grabbed meats and cheese while putting on regular breads and put it back into the container, so there may be crumbs. I just like having the option to having something while at the hospital. It’s the only subway I have found that actually carries the gluten free bun.

No precautions taken. Uses same meat with bread crumbs in them etc. after me coaching them through the process, I tried it. The bread is horrible and dry. It crumbled into pieces, it was so bad that we all actually made a joke out of it.

Manager makes sure that the staff is highly trained in providing as safe of a gluten free sandwich as possible. They wash hands, use new gloves, and lay a fresh surface to work on in front of you. I like that they don’t go in back where you’re unsure of the precautions.

Staff is great, they always change gloves and take time to ask if it is an allergy. They don’t always open new veggies or meats which means you run the risk of CC.

Other subway locations in the area will charge the price of a footlong sandwich and two portions of GF bread. The owner of this Subway refuses to do so, and apparently requires staff to charge for two six inches instead. The GF bread charge is expected, but refusing to ring it up as a footlong is ridiculous and adds up on top of an already expensive sandwich. Would highly suggest other Subway locations in the area, rather than this one!

The staff is very knowledgeable about gluten-free options. They will ask you if you would like your food prepared from the bean or from food preparations that have not been exposed to bread. They also have gluten-free brownies and two kinds of gluten-free soups if they are served that day.

I called before going to Subway. The person I spoke with was very knowledgeable about GF. f you mention gluten "allergy", they use their allergy protocol to avoid contamination. I was told by her to observe them for glove change and cleaning the work service, just in case. Indeed, they were quite careful. The only negative is that they had no GF bread, but given the location in a small town, they probably don't get enough GF business to justify stocking, and then having to discard GF buns.

Nobody understand what GF really is... They mentioned I can take any meat where that is not true as they had meat with sauce, etc For them GF is only a bread... TERRIBLE!!!

The staff is somewhat knowledgeable about gluten sensitivities. I would recommend asking them to change their gloves before making your sandwich. The gluten free bread available comes in a 6” only, and it’s pretty good! Tip: Have it extra toasted so it doesn’t fall apart as easily.

Extremely helpful. As soon as I asked for the gluten free wrap the lady asked if I was coeliac. Once stating I was she instantly changed her gloves and got someone else to serve while she got my wrap and proceeded to take it out the back to make it with all fresh ingredients and in a separate space to avoid cross contamination. The wrap was delicious, very impressed with the service :)

This is the Rapid City location with gluten free bread. You can get a six-inch sandwich. They are wrapped separately. The bread is a little crumbly and is best when toasted.

Never again. Not only was the staff rude and not open to questions.. When I asked if the beef had gluten they said 'just a little bit'... There is nothing there that does not get bread crumbs in it... And the chicken also contains gluten and the dressings... They need more training on food allergies... But not worth the risk, I walked out after the staff eye rolled when I asked if she would feed only a little peanut to someone that was allergic.

Good food and some locations have gluten free bread, but it's all prepared on the same surfaces with the same tools. Fine if you're doing gluten free for fun, not good for those with celiac or sensitivities.

The guy that did my order used extreme caution making my sandwich — didn’t touch handles with his gloves, used separate bins of everything, put paper down, washed his hands — all of it. Best Subway experience I’ve had.
