I used to come here for the blueberry pancakes, but between how busy they always are and how often I’ve gotten gluten sick from the food I never go anymore.
The rating of 3 stars is a compromise between my family's rating of 5 (and mine too before celiac diagnosis) and mine of 1 (post celiac diagnosis). The food is great but not for folks with celiac. I have been glutened several times with food that was supposed to be gf. I think it might be because the kitchen is small and there may be cross contamination.
I’ve been here twice so far and had the gluten free pancakes both times. I told the waiter I had celiac disease. Without being prompted, she said the kitchen scrubbed the griddle beforehand (took more time, but I will gladly wait longer for less cross contamination). The pancakes are very unique tasting (in a good way!); not sure what their secret ingredient is but they’re delicious.

Always great service. I generally get the kitchen sink with no cheese and no gravy. Great coffee too!
I have tried to like the gluten free pancakes but probably never will. The pancakes are more like crepes. I would settle for that if I had never had fluffy gluten-free pancakes in KC. That is the reason for 3 stars. Nevertheless, they do have quite a few gluten free options besides pancakes.
We had a disappointing experience here. We were served dirty cups and plates. It was a long wait to get our food, but it turned out to be very cold. We talked with a manager, and she took 50% off our order. Nice workers, but poor service, cleanliness, and food.
Came here for a late breakfast and it was good. It went over pretty well with my stomach, too. I know people on this app aren't really looking for a service review, but it can be lacking here. Both times I've been they have messed up my partners order. So I would watch that if you go.
great pancakes but the staff is a little clueless about allergies and I'd be afraid of getting a reaction. also gf toast available
They have Pancakes, and toast gf options. Pancakes were pretty good, a little gummy but not too bad. Good coffee!
Food is ok and service is terrible! Not a huge fan, but very accommodating. May need to try again though after seeing all these great reviews!
I really enjoyed the Gf blueberry pancakes! Accompanied by maple syrup, eggs and bacon and tasty coffee, I really enjoyed this meal! Staff knew about Gf and he first question when I asked about the Gf options was if I had celiac. He told me the precautions they take to prevent cross contamination. Great food and atmosphere!
Great gluten free options.....service not good (long time before being greeted had to get up to ask for silverware, manager did not want to take my to go order said to wait for my server ) agree with person that place needs to be cleaned more. Just get to go from here .
Fantastic service with extremely nice and caring staff! If you have dietary issues they are very accommodating! Definitely will be back! Had our hearts set on some gluten free/dairy free pancakes (unfortunately that wasn't available) but they have many other options to choose from.
Stop in here for some fresh squeezed juices and gluten-free pancakes. Located in the Kansas City Ar ts District this hot spot suppor ts local farmers and vendors. They offer lunch, brunch and catering options.
I've been here TWICE in two days. The gluten free pancakes are heavenly!! I had the gf blueberry pancakes and the gf Maggie Cristo on gf pancakes and both meals were superb!! Light airy pancakes that don't instantly fall apart AND taste yummy!! Today I met the owner (who admitted to a wheat allergy) and she said she worked on the pancake recipe herself until it was perfect! It WILL NOT disappoint!! Seriously considering going back again tomorrow morning!!
Succotash had delicious food and great juice drinks. Our service was not great and cleanliness could be improved upon. Gluten free short stack was yummy!
