Their gluten-free pumpkin whoopie pies are to die for along with their almond heart cakes! I wish I didn't live 4 hours away
SO good. Amazing! The mocha macaroons were amazing. The mocha ones don’t have coconut in it. The raspberry mouse cup was so rich and perfect. They looked pretty too. The macarons are all gf and I loved the raspberry one. Everything was so good that we bought three things and tasted them. Then, they were so good that we got more, and then we had to go back one more time. I wish we lived closer and will definitely be back next time we are nearby. There are also gluten things made there too, but they are careful. The gf items are put on the shelfs above the non gluten free so no crumbs fall on the gf items. The owner’s daughter is celiac and eats here.
I have celiac disease and felt so safe. the workers pointed out to me what exactly i could have and said it was baked separately and didn’t touch any of the safe surfaces as non gluten free items. i also got stuff for my parents that aren’t celiac and she boxed mine separately which doesn’t seem like a lot but it meant a lot to me. plus the food is amazing!
I have Celiac and this place was a treasured find before catching a flight out of the airport. I had the Whiplash and it was DELICIOUS! I wish I lived closer!
Thank you! Yes, the Whiplash is soooo good. Hopefully you'll make it back again soon. Thanks for the review.
What a gem of a gluten-free place to find! While, the bakery is not 100% gluten-free, there are several gluten-free specific items available to purchase.
In fact, there are more than 10 different gourmet quality gluten-free baked items that they had available for purchase.
We got so excited in enjoying the quality GF baked goods that we simply forgot to take pictures. This is definitely a place to stop back by and purchase some treats or dessert goodies for friends and family!
I loved every bite of the mocha cookie, zimenrra cookies and chocolate cookie. Unfortunately they don’t have scones. But the cookies were delicious.
Yay! Lots of good cookies right now. A few extra special German Christmas cookies are in production and some happen to be GF! Zimtsterne (cinnamon stars) Thanks for the kind words. We do make scones on occasion. If you ever wanted to order a few we would be happy to do that for you.
Tastes fresh & moist. They do put the GF items mostly on own trays, but today I went in & had GF cookie on tray with other wheat items, so I didn't try that one. My kids & I love this place. I didn't even get out of the parking lot before eating both macaroons I ordered & my daughter ate hers on the way home. Hence, I'm posting a picture of the chocolate mouse cup & 2 chocolate heart cakes as that was all we had left. The mocha cookie with walnuts was perfect for the chocolate fix I needed! OMG!!!
So happy you enjoyed! The mudslide cookie is one of my favorites too! Just to clarify we never cross-contaminate GF with wheat items, you must have been mistaken. We work very hard to never cross-contaminate through the whole production process. At the retail area we have separate trays, utensils and always use a fresh paper when grabbing with our hands. Our daughter has celiacs and our FOH manager is gluten sensitive so we take it very seriously.
I absolutely love sucrose. Being gluten free is hard, and finding a dessert that isn’t just flourless cake is AMAZING. heartakes are to die for, and the French macaron and amazing!! I also love the raspberry cheesecake
It’s great if you’re looking for nicer pastries. Not if you’re looking for your everyday baked goods, cookies, and cupcakes. Also everything is in an open air container.
Great treats! Several options to choose from which is always special when you are looking for gluten free options.
In response to Lorinda:
The fact is, we are two pastry chefs who were given the ironic blow of finding out our daughter has celiacs. We take the issue very seriously. We use the utmost precaution by using clean pans, papers, utensils, wash hands, etc. We use quality ingredients to produce not only aesthetically pleasing but also tasty gluten free pastries.
I wouldn't sell anything that I wouldn't feed my own daughter. We have yet to have any negative feedback in regards to cross contamination of any kind (gluten, nut, dairy, etc).
The "gf" stuff is made alongside stiff with regular wgeat flour. When I made the simple comment that that makes this "made with gf ingriedients not gf", he said "it is made without wheat". Then started in on how severe my "allergies are". If you are eating "gf" to follow a trend, I'm sure this place is nice. But if you have celiac sprue, don't waste your time.
