Server didn’t even know what gluten is… we got up and walked out.

This place is NOT celiac friendly. I called in advance to ask about a fryer or pasta and the manager asked me what a gluten free fryer was and the proceeded to tell me “you don’t just drop fish in a fryer, its breaded so could never be gluten free” Then he hung up on me.

The gluten free menu is on a small paper. Just ask the staff for it when you arrive and they will provide it. The waitress’ sister has celiac and she made sure my food was ordered correctly. There are some items on the regular menu that look gluten free but weren’t added on the gluten free menu. The marinated tuna is on the gluten free menu but it’s in a teriyaki sauce so I’m skeptical. Food was ok. Nothing to write home about. I got the broiled seafood platter and you get a good amount of food. Wish they had more side options.

Ate here for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. The parking lot was packed, but the restaurant was empty. Very nice view of the water. Very limited GF menu - on a large index card. I'm not sure they know what gluten is - as they consider shrimp cooked in BUTTER not gluten free. The broiled seafood had no flavor (GF or not), but it was very fresh. Very sensitive Celiac daughter had no reaction, but not sure we would eat there again with all the other seafood options on the island.
I have eaten here for over 20 years, 9 of them gluten free. They have the best broiled scallops on the beach! I have Celiac and have never had a problem. The cook them in olive oil and not the funky stuff for ordinary people. The shrimp are great as well if broiled. Best scallops south of Maine!
Very disappointing. Their gluten free menu is a laminated 3x8 piece of paper that is taped to the hostess station. The majority of the food is fried. When I asked them to eliminate shrimp, (I have a shrimp Intolerance) from my steamed seafood platter they said no because the kitchen was too busy...seriously! It all went in the trash. The only reason I give it two stars is because of wait staff.
No
The food was so bland, no seasoning at all. My fish wasn't cooked all the way (Im a fan of rare tuna, but not a fish like rockfish that should be cooked). The service was poor and slow. The only good thing about it was the view.
Staff is knowledgeable and the food is great, although a bit on the pricey side. You get what you pay for, though, and that's pretty sizeable portions of freshly made fish.
Yes
Great lunch! Friendly waitress.

Loved this place! By far, one of the best eateries we went to. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly, which was a plus! Many of the dishes can be made gluten free but you'll do fine with any of the steamer dishes!
