Review

Hey all! This is a review as a former customer and also as a staff supervisor at summit cafe.

We have a large number of gluten free options available for you. I’ll list most of these below.

Breakfast items: For breakfast we have gluten free toast available with sides of : Bacon, both fried and scrambled eggs and mushrooms to name a few.

Lunch items: All of our fillings except two are gluten free and those can be offered on gluten free bread (toasted or untoasted), baked potatoes or as a salad. Both our soups are usually made completely gluten free, however due to the types of soups changing daily I’d advise checking with your server if the soup of the day is gluten free.

Cakes: Currently we try to offer 3 gluten free options available for our customers. The first is our gluten free ginger cake and the second is our gluten free carrot cake. The last gluten free option is a seasonal bake which at the moment are our gluten free blondies.

Notes for cross contamination: For our hot food, our food is prepared in an environment that handles gluten so cross contamination is possible but very unlikely. We do everything we can to reduce the risk of cross contamination. Namely using separate utensils for gluten free cakes, as well as fresh knives cutting boards and other utensils for when preparing gluten free meals.

I am a coeliac and have been eating here since 2021, I’ve been working here for a year and a half now and haven’t had any bad reactions once.

If you all have any questions feel free to come in and myself or a fellow member of staff will run you through our options.
