The waitor was so nice! He said most of the sushi we picked was gluten free anyways, and offered to change my partner's dish to be gluten free if he wanted. He brought out all the gluten free rolls on a separate plate, and brought gf soy sauce and spicy mayo out for me. I took a chance and had the tempura with gluten free batter - they don't have a separate fryer - and I had almost no symptoms afterwards. Great!!
Hard to order on the phone due to language barrier, but was able to get it figured out! The spicy california roll is awesome. They use GF imitation crab and offer a GF soy sauce option. Did not get sick!
Wonderful little place and terrific sushi! One of my absolute favorites! Sumo is the only place I have found that actually has GLUTEN FREE TEMPURA! I don’t believe it’s listed on the menu, but any of their tempura items can be made with the GF version if you ask. Did I mention it’s also delicious?! The only caveat is that I don’t think they have a dedicated fryer, but so far I’ve never been sick. They also have GF soy sauce which is a nice addition. The rest of the menu is lovely, with lots of options. I’ve never asked for a strictly GF menu before, but it looks like pretty much anything can be made GF if you ask 😀

Not celiac friendly if you want to eat their gluten free tempura. They have gluten free options but not a dedicated fryer. I threw up the minute i left this place. The sushi was ok but nothing special. Ill give them credit for at least having gluten free batter but again not celiac friendly. Very disapointed.
I have eaten here twice and been sick both times. The staff seems somewhat knowledgeable with gluten allergies so I’m not sure what happened with my food. It’s not dedicated gluten free and I won’t be eating here anymore.
Miso soup is gluten free and a lot of the sushi is too. They were very careful and i did not get sick.
Love that they have gf tempura, excellent place for tons of delicious GF sushi!
Love this place the gluten free tempura batter is amazing and the miso soup is GF too everything here is great and I have never had a reaction and I'm extremely sensitive
great sushi, great staff, and very accommodating. Shady have takeout. I've eaten here many times and never had an issue.
Very good sushi and the server was very accommodating and willing to answer questions. They even had gluten free tempura batter. Yum!
The best sushi bar around. Very trustworthy. Miso is GF (not so everywhere). I am very sensitive and have never had a problem here.
