Delicious paninis and sweets. Owner was extremely nice and let us know the dairy free options. She also checked about garlic in an ingredient for my husband who’s allergic and provided alternative options. Some of the best gluten free foods we’ve eaten. It was so nice to be able to eat out.
Yes yes yes… best GF bread and pastry I’ve had in 4 years! Donna was an incredible host. Her products are quality! Paninis were delish (pressed GF bread was amazing). I got cobbler, a cookie, a scone and a piece of orange coconut cake (to die for ). I wish I lived closer. I’ll be back.
I am so pleased I came across this quaint bakery. I arrived late in the afternoon, so many items were already sold. I purchase pumpkins cookies, a piece of caramel apple cake, and a scone. Each one was tasty, and far from dry. This is the best gluten free dessert experience I've had since my gluten intolerance diagnosis 3yrs ago.
Loved this dedicated gluten free cafe! Donna was so kind and went through the list of ingredients in many of the sweet treats. I ended up getting a chocolate chip cookie, a brownie, pumpkin apple cake with a caramel drizzle, and a grilled cheese panini with tomato on their freshly baked bread. All the baked goods were wonderful. My non-celiac family even agreed! The grilled cheese panini was also fabulous - the bread was the best I’ve had! Definitely worth a stop.
Tiny little store but it was certainly delicious! My husband and I both got sandwiches which were really good - hands down the best gf bread we’ve ever had! Donna, the owner, was super friendly and nice! We went out of our way to stop here after heading home from vacation and we’re glad we did for a safe, delicious gf meal!
I’ve been wanting to stop for a while here. We ended up after a doctors visit a few minutes away last week. No pictures because I ate it all on the way home lol.
I had a great panini sandwich (can’t remember the name) but was absolutely delicious. I haven’t had a pressed sandwich in YEARS and finally felt safe for one.
I got multiple desserts, a lemon donut, lemon pie bar? I think, and another that I can’t recall.
All were amazing, the woman working there (assuming the owner) was super friendly and walked me through the menu,
Looking forward to going back soon x
Dedicated GF facility. Was a little hard to find because Apple Maps has its location a few doors down, but it’s there if you keep looking! Got thr club panini and banana chocolate chip bundt cake. The panini was amazing! All sandwiches are made fresh when ordered. The bundt cake was pretty good too.
Fantastic panini sandwich, and a good price for the size ($15) I also had two baked goods that were okay in taste; not the best GF baked goods I’ve ever had. I felt like they were a bit overpriced (another $15 for two). Totally safe to eat and very friendly staff. I’d go again for the sandwich but would skip the baked goods.
Donna is absolutely fantastic! She let me try a warm piece of her freshly baked gf bread on my first visit there, and I cried because I hadn’t had good, warm bread in years. The Sunflour Cafe is amazing and the absolute best restaurant for everyone with celiac disease ♥
So EXCITED! I got all my Thanksgiving treats here!

I was not able to enjoy a meal at this place, but I did enjoy some baked goods. The lady was really friendly and actually stayed open late for me to be able to get there. She has great communication skills. The place is exceptionally hard to find, and there is not a large sign above the location. But, as I said, the owner is very accessible via phone and helpful.
Delicious panini (I had the turkey reuben) and yummy pastries. The blueberry cookies were so soft and delicious, and my son described the cinnamon cake "like eating a cloud"and the best pastry he's ever eaten. The owner was friendly and it was apleasure meeting her and experiencing her creations! I will definitely return regularly.
I was so excited to learn there’s a gluten free bakery so close to me! I tried the Ube brownie and cinnamon roll cake and my husband got a slice of strawberry cake. Everything was delicious and the owner was so sweet & helpful. I will definitely be back to try some of the savory options.
This place is fantastic! I went here for lunch, and the owner was so friendly and welcoming. I had the Pittsburgher panini; all sandwiches are made on homemade gluten free bread! I also tried a pumpkin chocolate chip cookie, a carrot cake donut, and a scone. All baked goods were delicious! Also, the owner told us that all of her baked goods are soy-free, which was perfect for my coworker with a soy allergy. Excellent experience, and I will definitely return the next time I am in Chesapeake!
Service is great! I've been there for lunch and take out. My items have included sandwiches, biscuits, rolls, Italian garlic bread, cakes, cookies, bread, and the best one (so far): cinnamon rolls!!!
First time in 22 years to have really good cinnamon rolls - even better than I remember them!!
Everything is wonderful and both the food and restaurant are totally gluten-free.
She specializes in baked goods and they're all marvelous. You can't go wrong there.
I used to be very fond of this place as I have Celiac Disease and any amount of gluten hurts me. I used to get all the yummy treats except one day I went home with one of the calzones and while eating it I felt sick, I started having the brain fog I get when glutened. Nothing I had ate in the days prior were new foods, only this calzone. I didn't feel sick before this either but I had glutened symptoms for days afterwards. The owner is a sweetheart, however I'm too paranoid to go back after my experience.. I haven't had a problem since.
From the moment we entered all the way to our departure, we felt like we were at a friend's or family member's home. It was such a welcoming environment. The owner is so cheery and the cafe scene is so calming and welcoming as well. There are plants everywhere, a wall of tea sets, the walls are light green, and the tables were made of solid wood. I love this place!
This is a family owned cafe. We got to immediately meet the owner - a single mom, and one out of her two sons named Michael. This is definitely a dedicated gluten-free facility. The owner told us her history and how she started. She shared some family stories and she was just an overall awesome person!
I ordered the Caprese Panini and Grilled Cheese Panini to share with my 15-yr old son. The bread is made from scratch and there was soooo much cheese!!! We loved it!!! My partner in crime ordered The Italian Panini and The Great Habino Panini for himself. He said it tasted fantastic!! Each Panini plate came with potato chips and a big halved pickle. Pineapple Coleslaw was served as a side. My son and I didn't get to taste it, but my partner said it was delicious! My son doesn't eat pineapples and I don't eat coleslaw, lol.
We chose a lot of baked-goods to go in the very beginning. My son lacks a sweet tooth so he chose a sugar cookie. It was so soft and crumbly - he ate every single crumb, so he enjoyed it very much. I ate the Key Lime Cake with Pineapple Glaze, it was so soft and so delicious!!! I then tried the Monster cookie an hour later - it was good. I still have the Maple doughnut, the Cookies and Crème doughnut, and the Cinnamon Roll cake left to try. I will be tasting it tomorrow.
My partner ate the Maple doughnut and said it was delicious, then immediately after had the Key Lime Cake with Pineapple Glaze and said it had maple, lol. He is not great at differing foods when he eats one after the other.
Towards the end, I took pictures of my partner and son with the owner and she gave me a hug. She wanted to see us every week, lol, but I told her probably monthly. But, who knows, we probably will.
