One of my least favorite dining experiences in a while. I was with a group of friends for lunch and when I asked if there was a GF menu the waiter said no and that it’s a very unsafe place for celiacs. He told me they have a big problem with cross contamination. Unfortunately I didn’t want to make the group leave so I opted to get just some eggs and bacon and asked they take every precaution possible. The food was nothing to write home about and there was very little options for gluten free eating. The service was subpar at best. We waited in line for 45 min and when we got to the register to order, the music was so loud that we were yelling and the waitress could not hear us. We asked three times for them to turn it down and they said “they couldn’t”. I ended up leaving because I got a migraine it was so loud. The windows were rattling. I’m less than 30 minutes from finishing my meal and already feel nauseated. AVOID.

I’m giving this place 2 stars only because of our server not really seeming to take that extra step with me and my allergy. I let him know about my allergy even before ordering our drinks as we browsed the menu and it was stated that everything on the menu is gluten free except for the French toast. Hell yeah! I ordered the Benedict which was delish but nothing I can’t easily make at home, and he brought it out with the biscuit. Trusting his statement that everything but the French toast is gluten free I devoured my biscuit as well. Within 15 minutes it hit me - that damn biscuit IS NOT gluten free and I had consequences. Should have read here first!
I didn't get sick and had a delicious meal!
Yes
I used to really enjoy Sun in My Belly. I then started encountering non-caring wait staff. They would bring my plate with bread (despite me making it clear beforehand) and when I point it out again they simply remove the bread and tell me they absolutely remade the plate in that 30 seconds they were in the kitchen with my plate. Lies hurt in multiple ways.
No
I went to Sun in My Belly for Saturday brunch. Most of their menu items are gluten free or can be made gluten free. Instead of a biscuit, they gave me excellent gluten free bread. I am very sensitive to cc and did not get sick. Great for gf brunch.
