Today I was gluten’ed by the server. Even though I ordered everything “gluten free” and made a special point to tell the server I have a sever gluten dietary restriction. They served the breakfast sandwich with BeLeaf brand bacon. Which took me about 5 seconds to google and see wheat in the ingredients and wheat listed as an allergen. I have been here several times over the years. It is not a dedicated kitchen. Most of my experiences have been pleasant. I was dumbfounded that they made such an obvious error.

One of the best gluten free, vegan and restaurants in general I have had the pleasure of eating in. Great atmosphere, pleasant server, and just perfect overall. If in the area do not miss this gem!!!

Service was great and very knowledgeable about gluten free food. However, I did not enjoy my drink, appetizer, nor my entree. Portion sizes were huge, and they all felt too healthy - many of the dishes were dairy free and vegan, which is great for those with more than one dietary restriction, but it left me (celiac) unsatisfied and with many leftovers.

Great food with a lot of gluten free options. Servers were very knowledgeable. Whole family enjoyed their meal, including the gluten free cookie dough cheesecake!

Such a great spot. Most of the menu is marked GF, and they were very knowledgeable of Celiac when I told them. Had the Mac and Cheese and it was amazing.

This place was awesome! Great atmosphere and food. I had GF BLT on ciabatta bread with mashed potatoes and gravy.

Everything I have ever eaten here has been fantastic! The pizzas are always delicious. The pistachio ice cream sandwich was great.

This really is the most wonderful, 😋 place to eat! The food is Unbelievablely good! Gluten Free/Organic I have Celiacs and never once, have I gotten sick eating there.

This place is amazing on so many levels. I had an incredible experience here as a celiac. Lots of GF options, knowledgeable servers, a variety of food and wine, and a superb dining experience. My husband and I will be dining here daily as we visit LA this week.

Amazing! Food and service were awesome -- we had nachos with jicama chips, lettuce leaf tacos, gf and soy-free Mac and cheese -- unreal! My very allergic hubby was able to order dessert (cookie dough cheesecake) for the first time in years! We'll be back!

I just discovered this place a few days ago and already I'm back to try more items on the menu. I LOVE the fact this place is gluten & dairy free and have so many delicious items on the menu. Most restaurants I go to only have a handful of items I can eat on the menu, which can be a real bummer. The selections I can eat are usually boring and tasteless at most places. Not here. I've already tried the Sun Nachos which are delicious. I tired the 1/2 corn chips, 1/2 Jicama chips. The jicama is a little different but still surprisingly good. It's crispy and fresh tasting (the jicama is not baked or fried, it's fresh jicama). I was a little concerned that the vegan food would not leave me satisfied, but the Nachos were a large potion and pretty filling. The vegan "cheese" and "sour cream" were also really tasty. Today I had the Mac & Cheese with "chorizo". It was served in a little iron skillet and was pretty filling. The cheese was delicious. A nice consistency and pretty rich in flavor. The serving size was decent for one person, but I could see ordering this and something else for two people to share. I also ordered the Chocolate Mint Shamrock shake to go. Eventually I want to try the pizza, I hear the tacos are good and they have a nice selection of shakes and other desserts including pumpkin pie and key lime which I really want to try on future visits. It is so wonderful to have the variety and freedom to order almost anything on this menu despite my allergies without fear of getting sick. Although the items are a little pricy, it's a small price to pay for eating healthy, delicious food that won't leave me doubling up in pain a few hours or days after. Thank you SunCafe Organic. This little gem of a restaurant is located right near universal studios/Harry potter world. Has a mainly gluten free organic menu, with many gluten free choices. Owner and kind staff proffered two free gf cupcakes for my birthday girls. Thank you Suncafe!

love love love this place! been a handful of times for brunch and never gotten sick. I was skeptical about going there again because I'm breastfeeding I usually need protein to feel full/satisfied these days. we ordered a portabella burger with mashed potatoes and the raw lasagna and split the meals. oh. em. gee. every bite was phenomenal, and I don't know what they put in those mashed potatoes but they're addicting and I could eat them every day. I was beyond satisfied... we brought dessert home with us but we weren't even hungry for it until the next day.

Ok- so, this place wasn't bad. I was expecting more based on the reviews I read, it was tasty, but not as good as other places like it in LA. Not cheap, and for a slightly lower price you could go to Sage, my all time favorite in LA, to get vegan gluten free options (same type of restaurant) but in my opinion tastier, more options, and just better all around. Had the Mac and cheese which was tiny and not as good as Sage's Mac and cheese, and the curry which had undercooked garbanzo beans in it. All took a long time to come out. Also had the cookies and crime cheesecake which was delicious, big enough for two people, and we still couldn't finish it. It was good, but there is better and at the same time more affordable.

This restaurant was exceptional!! We tried this place while visiting the area and ended up eating dinner here 3 nights in a row. They have a cute patio area and some indoor seating. The service was great they reassured me about cross contamination. The majority of the menu was GF. We had the nachos (chips are gf and baked no cross contamination) the nut cheese was delicious. We also had veggie tacos they were spicy but very good. The lettuce wraps were enjoyed by all. You can't go here without having a cacao shake!!!! The shakes were expensive but worth it. Everything was fresh and delicious. We will definitely drive 2 hours each way to eat here again.

Awesome place! Nachos Were magnificent! Kale salad was perfect and the portabello sandwich yummy! Gf bun was delicious! Even my boyfriend liked it and he's not gf!

Best vegan food I've ever had. Everything is so fresh and flavorful! I am not a fan of beet root, but they can even make that taste super yummy and leave me wanting more!

Highly recommend picking from the specials menu. The lettuce tacos are so delicious and so fresh! We have also had the corncakes, raw supreme pizza, fish tacos, sweet kale shake and sun nachos (def do the half and half because the flavors together are out of this world!!)

They also offer cooking classes which I am thinking of possibly taking.

A word of caution is that portion sizes are large so work with you server to order the right amount.

Pretty good food. I don't normally eat vegan but if I do I always come here. Their lettuce tacos are so good!
