I’m not vegan but saw their website had a ton of GF options. I have pretty severe celiac so eating out can be hard. They have tons of options and lots of GF desserts that I can’t wait to try in the future. I got the barbecue sandwich which was probably the best I’ve ever had and the kale salad. They changed their gloves to prepare my food. It seems the only gluten in the restaurant is buns and wraps, which they have GF alternatives for. I’ll definitely be back! I couldn’t even tell the sandwich was vegan/gluten free. The bun was delicious and the prices were very reasonable. Thankful that gems like Sunflower Cafe exist!
Lots of options for gf that you don’t see other places. Friendly staff. I always get the veggie. burger on a gf bun, delicious!
We found this place through the Find Me Gluten Free app when passing through Nashville on a trip. I’m vegan and gluten free, and my husband isn’t vegan or gluten free. We both ordered the BBQ sandwich and loved it. My house made gf bun was soft and perfect in consistency. The BBQ and slaw on top were just the right amount of spice. We will stop again if we are passing through.
I’m gluten sensitive and daughter has Celiac. The food is very tasty and the servings are large. Even the meat eaters were happy. It’s possible to have cross contamination in the way they have the food set up. No one got sick.
The gluten free options are marked on the menu. they will change gloves if asked. the restaraunt was pretty dingy though.
I am a Celiac and this is my favorite place to visit when I come to Nashville! Everything is safe and the staff are amazing
Very helpful with me the newbie to GF and DF. I actually ate today without hurting after the fact! I was hesitant but they helped me out!
Not gluten free. Advertises most items are gluten free and we tried many and got super sick. Would not recommend.
My review is only for the purpose of those who are NOT vegetarian. We went in expecting a regular burger based on the info in the app, but it's ONLY vegetarian food. It looked like a cute place, and was packed, but we didn't eat there.
I love this place, but cross contamination is definitely an issue. I love their food, but only order the things that to me look “less likely for cross contamination” like things where they use scoops. The salad area is all with their hands after handling buns/wraps etc..
The staff was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable! They were very careful about cross contamination (had a separate toaster for celiac/GF) and had a huge selection of menu items to choose from! I am also dairy intolerant and was able to have a delicious meal without worrying about dairy or gluten!
Staff is extremely gluten aware! When told you are celiac they immediately change gloves-cheerfully! Many delicious GF options that are marked. In fact they can accommodate any other allergies. Can't believe this place doesn't rate five stars. The person who thought it was cross contamination nightmare needs to try again. Service line is cafeteria style and each person gets own tray.
Not Celiac friendly. This place is a cross-contamination nightmare. Watched them precariously attempt to grill a wrap in between two pieces of wax paper on a contaminated grill. Then the wrap was removed, placed on a contaminated cutting board, and cut with a contaminated knife. This is all after telling them I have an allergy. Clearly they don't take their "gluten-free" labeling very seriously.
They are under new management and have a wide selection of gluten free options. All veggie burgers and sandwiches can be made with Udi's bread or a brown rice wrap. GF options were clearly marked on the cafeteria style selections and staff was knowledgeable.
We got our food to go. Staff was informed of gluten free options.
