We love surf hut! Very accommodating! I got grilled seafood platter (they can do same platter as fried just as for grilled but is a $4 up charge) my daughter got a burger with a gluten free bun! Very good!
Saw very mixed reviews so I got a salad. 3/4s through and there were croutons at the bottom after I specified celiac. Do not recommend at all
I have been going to the Surf Hut for years. I’ve never been sick after eating here. *get the sautéed crab claws* Theyre my favorite. Grilled grouper is always amazing too.

Service was good, asked the chef questions when I had them. Didn’t ask specifics about cross-contamination prevention. I ordered the create your own combo with blackened cobia, mashed potatoes, and vegetables. Sauces were gluten free.
Asked the waitress what my gluten free (I have celiac) options are with her response “everything can pretty much be gluten free.” I had a gut feeling something was off and just went with a house salad....came out with croutons. Clearly if they mess up a salad they don’t take cross contamination serious.
No gluten free menu but this awesome app helped me decide what to get. I got the fish tocos on corn tortillas.
Called beforehand and spoke to Jessie. Jessie was amazing. When I arrived, I asked to speak to her again and she made sure my meal was prepared correctly- even brought my plate out. My server was great too. Was very patient and took care with my drink. No reaction, but I recommend calling first.
I asked the manager about gluten free and he said since I have Celiac Disease nothing is safe.
Best fish tacos! Ask for the corn tortillas!! Yum!! Great service as well and the view of the ocean you can’t go wrong! 👍🏝
Had the peel and eat shrimp with cocktail sauce and a house salad no croutons. Did not get sick. Accommodating service, shrimp cooked in old bay seasoning.
I had the peel and eat shrimp with no sauce for an appetizer. Grilled fish tacos (no seasoning and no chipotle sauce) with corn tortillas of course ! No reaction ! Super tasty !!!!!
Enjoyed this restaurant both times we went. they were very accommodating and the fish tacos were better than any we've had in the area.....corn tortillas of course
please, please, PLEASE do not come here. my server claimed that i could practically get anything on the menu, and did not give me any specific items that were strictly gluten free. he left it up to me to decide, which makes no sense. ordered grilled fish and i'm sick as a dog. if you do come here, id suggest asking for a manager before ordering "gluten free"
Super friendly and helpful. They don't have a gluten free menu but the manager came over to discuss options like salad, any protein (fish, chicken, etc), tacos with corn tortilla shells, hamburger ect. . Great environment too!
Dedicated fryer for French fries but that is it! They do NOT have a gluten free menu. Was able to make a cheeseburger or chicken breast with no bun/seasoning but that is it. Might be able to do some seafood and tacos on a corn tortilla too.
Amazing service! They were very well trained in allergies and gluten free! My son had French fries and cut up chicken breast. Manager came over and talked to us. Awesome restaurant right on the beach! Will go again!
