They do not have a dedicated fryer. The choices are limited.

We were told they had a GF bun option for our 9 year old with Celiac. We ordered her a burger and side salad since they do not have a dedicated fryer. My daughter has been sick since we ate there. There was contamination in some form be it the bun, spices or salad dressing...not recommended for Celiac

Delicious burger for a dairy-free celiac and great regular burger options for non-Celiacs. I ordered the Popeye burger without cheese (1/3 # burger with bacon, Gouda, grilled onions, sautéed spinach with balsamic vinaigrette) and protein style lettuce wrapped. Since they don't have a dedicated fryer, I stuck to the side salad without croutons. My meal was satisfying and safe.

I have to take my review way down because when the gf menu started, we were told the wedge fries were NOT in a shared fryer and were safe, and we ate at Surfrider several times, and now their menu indicates otherwise. Poor form! No wonder my celiac son threw up after. We were like "well, we know the fries are safe..." silly us. We're bummed, because this is a delicious cafe. But we no longer can suggest it for sensitive/celiac folks.

Best gluten free burger in town. But contrary to what another reviewer here had stated, they DO NOT HAVE A DEDICATED GLUTEN FREE FRYER, according to their own gf menu. Eat carefully. ; )
