Ordered takeout and my chicken teriyaki was clearly labeled “gf” and was very good!
Complete joke of celiac and gluten free knowledge. I live in Morristown and have been coming for years however this is the 3rd time that my order has come out NOT gluten free. Very concerning that they market themselves as being gluten free knowledgeable. When I complained and explained this is a medical need, they were unapologetic and said they have new chefs being trained-totally not an excuse, just poor process! Will never be going back which is totally unfortunate.
My friend I always come here with is Celiac. They have a separate gluten free menu you can ask for, will give you a separate bottle of tamari instead of soy sauce, and give you fresh made wasabi. The regular pre-made wasabi has soy sauce in it. They are always considerate of the allergy and take it seriously. There is a great amount of gluten free options too so you will have no problem finding something you like. Everything I've ever eaten from here is fantastic! The miso soup is not gluten free which is the only bummer. Sushi lounge is my and my friends go-to dinner spot when we hang out and I highly recommend it!!
Our waitress was really knowledgeable and checked with the chef multiple times to confirm what is and isn't gluten free. They have GF soy sauce and GF options marked on the menu. Food was delicious - definitely recommended!
My waitress Ashley was knowledgeable and gave great service! Gluten free options are noted on menu with asterisk and many other items can be altered to gluten free! Beef rib lettuce wraps yummy and salty. Hibachi style entree gluten free too! Yummmmy and grab a lychee mojito too!
Very unhappy with how my dinner went. Waitress didn’t give much info and was very short in responding to my questions. I was given gluten free soy sauce, but when I looked at the bottle to notice the second ingredient was wheat. I immediately brought it to the attention of my waitress and she said they put gluten free soy sauce in the regular soy sauce bottle. Very odd. Didn’t feel safe. Wouldn’t return.
So my initial contact with sushi lounge was a bit rocky. Initially though I was staying in a hotel within their 5 mile delivery range (3.6 miles away) and they were on Yelp delivery, they indicated they would not deliver to the hotel in parsippany I was in. I initially called due to their showing up on a gluten free search since their online menu did not specify what was or was not GF. But the manager was nice enough to realize that since they did advertise the delivery and there was no mention of exclusion of the county I was in that delivery was still an option. Glad they did their food was great and the folks I spoke with on the phone had great customer service skills. Hope next time I travel to this area they continue to deliver ;)
Byron was very helpful at the front and our waiter Blake was outstanding in accommodating the GF/celiac needs of our daughter. They were knowledgeable about cross contamination, provided several options and were very friendly in answering our (many) questions. Would definitely return.
