I do really like this restaurant, but I feel like the safety of the food is totally dependent on on the server. I went twice this week and the first time the server went back multiple times to check with the chef about whether or not certain dishes have tamari or soy sauce, I couldn’t have the seaweed salad, but I did have the cinnamon of salad and it was delicious. I had that with sashimi the second time I ordered a stew they told me was gluten-free, but then when I got the seafood mix in it, there was imitation crab floating in it, and they didn’t know whether or not that had gluten in it. So I wouldn’t be overly confident. I would stick with very simple food. (I ended up having to send the suit back and then just got a large order of sashimi, which was delicious.) they do have gluten-free tamari.
My boyfriend has celiac and is severely reactive. We got three rolls that were supposed to be crab mix base(California type rolls) but they substituted for regular crab to make them gluten free. No gluten reactions!!! The food was also so good, and the seafood was fresh. 10/10 recommend!
I ordered the rainbow roll, Great quality fish. They also offer gluten free soy sauce
All the workers were friendly and nice. Sushi Mambo has the best menu item names, definitely made my night reading them. Most importantly, great quality fresh fish, large portion sizes and reasonable prices. I have celiacs disease so I was excited when I found out they have gluten free soy sauce. I ordered the rainbow roll. I highly recommend!
