I had a great experience here while vacationing in La Jolla. We sat at the sushi bar. The server was knowledgeable and the chef prepared my sushi in a separate area. Their tamari GF soy sauce comes in a separate container, and they are ready and prepared to provide it. I ate safely and even better, everything was delicious and fresh.

I have several allergies including Gluten, Dairy, Shrimp and Eggs, the staff was very helpful with letting us know which items were safe and willing to check on other items. The food was very fresh and reasonably priced. Some of the best sushi I've had in the area.

I called five minutes before coming to eat here and was told that the sushi rice was gluten free. When I got here the server said that the sushi rice actually does contain gluten in the vinegar. I ordered sushi with regular rice and it was very bland. The miso soup also contains gluten

The food was good (gluten filled food), however they were pretty unwilling to accommodate the gluten free members of our party. That was pretty disappointing after all the positive reviews on here. There is basically nothing on the menu that they can make gluten free.

This is my favorite sushi restaurant in San Diego. I have celiacs and my husband is allergic to shellfish. Every time we come in or order for takeout they are always very accommodating of our needs. You won’t be able to order a lot of their speciality rolls due to imitation crab but their nigiri and plain fish rolls are amazing quality. They always have gluten free soy sauce (tamari) available upon request.
For reference, I usually order tuna rolls, salmon rolls, and/or nigiri. Their salmon belly nigiri is to die for.

They were very attentive. Brought gf soy sauce. Our server checked on all the things she didn’t know with the kitchen to make sure she could confirm gluten free. She stayed on top of it and seemed happy to do it. We were very grateful and happy.

Staff was very accommodating and very careful, and the server explained to me the ingredients used to prepare the dishes and offered substitutions, such as providing me with lemon slices to squeeze on the salad since the dressing they use is not gf, and the server checking back in with me as the chefs were preparing my dish, to ensure the ingredients were okay for me to have, (I also have egg allergy) and providing me with gf soy sauce. Appreciated it very much!

We’ve had dine in and take out sushi a few times and have had no issues. Fish is fresh and service is friendly

Possibly the best sushi I’ve ever had, and reasonably priced. They have gf soy sauce and will work with you to make some of the special rolls gf (ie I just got a rainbow roll without the imitation crab). It was worth it.
