Based off on the previous reviews, I was very hopeful that I would feel safe eating here. Unfortunately, I did not have the same experience as those before me. When I mentioned that I have celiac disease and that I could not eat gluten - the server did not seem familiar with celiac or gluten. She pointed out some items on the menu and said, “these are some options without dairy.” Not quite. I thought perhaps this was a new server and kindly asked if I could talk to the sushi chef to find some options for me - which she kindly obliged to. The sushi chef also did not appear to be familiar with celiac but did seem to know gluten. He said that he could make anything without the crispy ingredients as well as omit all sauces. I don’t think that all of the sauces had gluten in them but I think he just wanted to be super safe since he didn’t seem to be extremely familiar, which I do appreciate. I ended up having some pretty bland sushi. They did have gluten free soy sauce that was clearly marked - which makes me think that at one time they may have been a bit more familiar with these needs. My fiancé enjoyed his sushi which did not need to be GF.
