Originally we ordered sushi and that was it. When I got to the restaurant to pick it up I spoke with the gentleman behind the counter and he explained what they could offer gluten free. Showed that they have a separate fryer for gluten free.
I had the bang bang shrimp with spring rolls with zero issues. I am celiac. Will def be going back and will speak to the person making the food to order. Their fried cheesecake is really good.
UPDATE, EDIT BELOW:( I wish I could give more stars! The chef came to the table and explained they can make almost anything gluten free (their miso soup and egg drop soup are all GF) and their fried dishes can be made with GF batter(first fried chicken Ive had since being diagnosed and it was great!), the ramen can be made GF (best GF ramen I've had!) and they have a separate fryer. The food was delicious and the chef was very very knowledgeable! I haven't felt that comfortable at a restaurant since being diagnosed honestly!
Update: I recently had 2 violent reactions here from the gluten free ramen. I've eaten here probably 8 times with nothing but the last two times I've had a full reaction. The manager took and made my order this time and I even said I had a reaction last time, so something in the ingredients must be getting missed. I'm going to call, they've done so well otherwise.
This restaurant allowed us to have spring rolls that are GF as well as shrimp tempura in sushi. Gluten free soy sauce is available. Service was excellent. The server did not know how to answer all of the GF questions, but went to chef to get the answers. The separate fryer for GF is awesome.
Edit: Sad to have to change my review. My 4th and 5th time here I got glutened :( I had given it another chance, but the 5th time made me SO sick. Clearly a bit of a hit or miss, try at your own risk!
Pretty much everything can be made gluten free! This place is AWESOME! Separate fryer, woks, GF soy sauce and the best part (for me) is a GF tempura batter! Eaten here twice with no reactions. The waitstaff is well informed and helpful every time.
Wonderful!! The owner went over the menu and explained what can and what can’t be made gluten free to make me feel more comfortable. There are only a handful of items that aren’t able to be modified but they have a very large menu so you won’t miss out! They have a dedicated wok, work station, and fryer. He even packaged my gluten free soy sauce in the back to avoid any possible contamination. I am very sensitive and usually know within minutes and have had no issues!
WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!! Our waitress, Sue, was a breath of fresh air for any celiac. She was attentive, asked the chef questions, and was so understanding of allergies/celiac! They are able to modify almost anything to be gluten free. Sushi was the best I have had in Huntsville and we can have the tempura (I had her triple check!). I got the edamame, orange chicken which was it was phenomenal, the rock and roll sushi and the Cheeto roll (both with no eel sauce). The dumplings are not gluten free but our non-gluten free friends really enjoyed them. They also have gluten free soy sauce. 10/10 recommend!
This restaurant is fun, the service is excellent, but even better the food is delicious and I felt completely safe eating here. Our server told us the only thing on the menu that can’t be done gluten free are the items using wonton wrappers or lo mein. They also have regular soy sauce but when I mentioned I had celiac, a bottle of gluten free soy sauce was delivered without me having to ask. I was able to enjoy sushi rolls with tempura batter! I didn’t know how much I missed that crispy experience! I can’t wait to go back and try more! I DEFINITELY recommend giving this spot a try.
Have been here multiple times now, in person and also door dash delivery. They take celiac very seriously -- they'll use gluten free soy sauce and are very careful in kitchen. You can even get battered/fried dishes like general tso's. They use corn starch and pan fry. Very happy to have an option for Chinese food finally. I don't eat sushi, but the manager told me they can do gluten free sushi as well. No gf menu but if it seems possible to make gf (as in not lo mein), they'll do it.
