The staff was great and accommodating but even after assuring me the food was safe, I got violently sick. Not celiac safe at all

The staff has always been very accommodating and happy to check on ingredients for me. I generally stick to the curry dishes, and it's one of the only restaurants in Eugene where I can say I've never gotten sick from the food. Plus, the food is delicious, cocktails are good, and the ambiance is lovely. It's a favorite among my out-of-town friends and family, too.

I was excited to eat at "Sweet Basil" on Pearl St. In Eugene Oregon. It is easy to make Thai food GF-right? My husband, who is not GF, and I enjoyed our appetizer and meal but within an hour I was really sick. It was a definite reaction to gluten. We are suspicious that it was the sauce for the rice rolls. The waitress seemed well informed and even steered us away from another non-GF appetizer. Needless to say, my husband got the leftovers.
