delicious and flavorful! I actually thought the pancakes were really good despite some of the other reviews; I got the caramel apple ones. Separate area to cook GF pancakes / waffles, but they still have to use “gluten friendly”, but definitely felt safe eating here. fun atmosphere and good, safe food! No reaction.

Amazing breakfast spot! Both waffles and pancakes offered GF—both amazing! Wide variety menu items, both sweet and savory. One thing to note—the GF batter for the waffle/pancakes are corn-based (I guess they use this type of waffle for their chicken and waffle menu item). Tastes less “buttermilky” than desired, so I recommend getting the waffle with the berry compote. Ordered the plain waffle once and it’s much better w/ added fruit etc.

We got breakfast to go based on the reviews here. I got a gluten free waffle and it was delicious! They have gluten free pancakes, waffles, and toast. Note: carry out/delivery menu is much smaller than the regular menu.

This place had a great vibe and was incredibly accommodating. They had dedicated cooking spaces for gluten (and vegan) food, and the food was absolutely delicious!

Sad to report another ‘glutening’. I asked every Celiac go-to questions and the waiter swore that they have a dedicated toaster and dedicated deep fryer. My body says otherwise. I didn’t wait an hour and a half for brunch to make me sick for a week. I don’t mind limited options…I mind getting sick after asking all the right questions. 🙁

Picked up carryout on a Saturday since the wait was 2 hours. Did not disappoint, I ordered GF berry Blast pancakes and a side of ham. Absolutely delicious and no issues afterwards. Had many other GF options too.

I had the veggie bowl/scrambled eggs with gluten free toast. It was very good, but I got sick (Celiac). The server said they used a dedicated toaster,but I’m not sure.

Love this place!! This was first time at this restaurant and it will not be my last!! The gluten-free pancakes were amazing along with their homemade butter and pure maple syrup!!

Great gf pancakes! Portions are large so you’ll definitely have leftovers. Will definitely be back next time in the Milwaukee area.

There may be a couple items that are celiac friendly, but they use the same pancake griddle and waffle maker for non-GF items. Maybe it was just our server, but he was not knowledgeable at all. And...I got sick eating the thing he said was safe (veggie bowl).

IN LOVE with this cafe!!!! Not only was the staff incredible, they had lots of options.. even pancakes!! The food was amazing and the cafe is BEAUTIFUL!!! I will be back to Milwaukee just for Sweet Diner! I’m in love!

There is no separate GF menu, however staff was knowledgeable and alerted the kitchen right away that I was celiac. The waiter came back and let me know what was safe and let me know the chef was swapping utensils and cleaning grill surfaces. But as soon as he said the waffles and pancakes were safe I was sold—typically all that’s safe in a breakfast spot are eggs which is great but given the opportunity I’m going for waffles or pancakes!! I just got the plain Belgian waffle which was soft and fluffy and very filling. I think next time I’ll splurge on the caramel apple pie waffles!! Even my husband (non-GF) said the waffle looked great!! Can’t wait to go back!!
