Sweet Melissa’s is a great spot! They have all their ice creams listed by allergy and were very knowledgeable. They got my ice cream for a separate freezer in the back to ensure no cross contamination. Staff are kind and knowledgeable - I will definitely be back.

My 9 year old daughter has celiac. They were very careful with her. They got her ice cream from the back and then she wanted sprinkles which they also got from the back. She loved the ice cream and it was her favorite ice cream while we were on vacation. The portions are also huge which she was extremely happy about!

I highly recommend this ice cream shop! The ice cream was delicious, well labeled and the staff was well educated! They went in the back to safely scoop from containers in the back to prevent cross contamination. We will definitely be back when we are in the area again!

They didn’t know if their sprinkles were gluten free and they didn’t have gluten free cones (which are easy to get) somewhat disappointed since most ice cream is gluten free. Items were marked showing what ice cream was gluten free.

Gluten free gelato marked on the menu. Make sure to ask them to get ice cream from a clean container. Staff was nice and we had no issues after eating.

They have a big sign asking customers to let them know about food allergies and seem well trained. When ordering gluten free, the ice cream was scooped from an unopened, fresh container in the back with a fresh scoop to prevent cross contamination. All flavors are clearly labeled on the menu as to if they are gluten free or not.

There are a lot of gluten free ice cream flavors available. It was delicious. There is not a gluten free ice cream cone and toppings are not labeled.

Excellent ice cream spot for our 7 year old daughter with Celiac. The employee explained the menu and which items were gluten free. He said they always go to the back, wash their hands, use a new scoop, and use ice cream in the back that hasn’t been contaminated. He explained that they can’t do samples because those ice cream tubs could have been contaminated. Very impressed with how knowledgeable they were. Best part was that our daughter enjoyed her yummy ice cream without us having to worry!

We’ve been to Sweet Melissa’s twice. They clearly have gluten free and nut free options marked on their menu board. When you tell them you have an allergy they scoop from clean containers in the back. Great place and delicious ice cream!

It’s not very often a dessert shop has GF and DF options! Way to go Sweet Melissa’s!! Thanks for making vaca a little sweeter!

Stopped for ice cream for the family. All flavors clearly marked for gluten and nut allergies. When I said I had gluten allergy, the worker went to the back kitchen, got a fresh container of ice cream, and a clean scoop for my serving. Awesome job!
