On a work trip and took a $15 Uber to get here. There’s no dining room- inside or out- right now. Takeout only. (They’re remodeling, not Covid related.) This isn’t on their social media either- or if it is it’s not prominent.
I’m excited to try it next time we’re in SA. It’s also a local and black-owned business which I love to support.
Had the GF Mac and Cheese with blackened chicken and a GF pumpkin cupcake. This place is amazing. Don't be fooled by the look of the place when you pull up, just remember the little shacks are usually the best. This place didn't disappoint.
Yum!! Had the Mac and cheese with blackened chicken it was rich and delicious. The shrimp po boy was very good too. Sweet potato cupcakes are to die for. Great spot for Celiac's or those who love good food.
Wow, wow, wow. Portions may look small, but that is deceiving. Had the Chicken Phili and my wife had turkey chili and Mac & Cheesy. All were awesome. Not enough room for my Sweet potato cupcake yet, but it looks amazing.
I had the Philly style chicken sandwich and the gf cupcake. Full of flavor and made with fresh peppers. The warm salad dressing was a special treat. If I lived here it would become a frequent favorite.
Really happy to have stopped by this place while visiting San Antonio. Menu had a ton of gluten free options. I had the gumbo, and it was very flavorful and we'll done. Finished off with a sweet potato cupcake, and I think I could have eaten a whole tray of these, very good! Staff was all very friendly and helpful!
Nearly everything on the menu is GF- would have liked to try the gumbo but they were sold out. The sweet potato cupcake was delicious!
What a great find! Worth the walk away from the river walk for this great spot. Almost everything is gluten free and everything was absolutely amazing. Had the gumbo, mac and cheese, and sweet potato cupcake.
Cute little place. High quality ingredients and people that care.
I am a regular for the GF Mac 'n Cheese. I went yesterday and they were sold out of my favorite. I tried the sweet chili shrimp with brown rice and it was delicious and addictive. I am thinking about it now. Yum!
Everything here is great. The staff is very open and honest about their menu and ingredients. And they have GF Mac and cheese, what more do you want?!
Lovely staff. As a vegan who has to be gluten free, I wouldn't say they specialize in vegan. I had a raw chili--which was crunchy and bland and a vegetable medley--which reminded me of the frozen Central Market stuff; just steamed and bland. I'd go back though...if the offerings were expanded or modified. I'm glad to see so many others enjoy it tho!
The food is delicious! I had the shrimp rice bowl with lemon, which came with a salad, and I had a side of the mixed greens (mustard, kale, and collards). All of it was delicious! I will definitely go back to try other dishes. :)
Great, yummy, heathy food. What a find!! Nice folks running the place. The 3 owners choose to eat gf. They are in the process of moving down the street so you might want to check google. This is the kind of business you love to support, but the payoff is aWESOME food. I had turkey chili, the boys demolished the gf Mac and cheese and my hubby likes the gumbo.
Very good though limited menu. Vegan, vegetarian, chicken and shrimps bowls with rice and salad. They are planning to expand. Not every thing is GF. Everything a I've tried has been very good. Everyone in party liked what they ordered, though not all are gluten intolerant.
sweet staff but there's a TON of gluten in this kitchen. I got hit - hard.
update: I was sick for days.
Mostly vegan menu, all organic menu. The owner knows about nutrition and they can accommodate food allergies. Veggie based dishes.
Girl at the window is such a sweetheart, she brings a great vibe to the place. Cannot leave without trying the sweet potato pie.
Excellent southern cooking Gluten-Free! Gus and Shannon work hard to serve you the best Texas style. Close to downtown and just off highway 281 and near the Alamo Dome. They specialize in organic, vegan and GF.
