The GF cupcakes are frozen. I bought one and they threw it in the microwave. This made it hot on the bottom and frozen in the middle, and it had that distinctive freezer taste. The manager is also extremely rude. It's a shame, before I was diagnosed, I loved their cupcakes.

Went there to taste/order some cupcakes for our wedding. They were closed. We double checked the hours. They were supposed to be open still. Called the business. A man answered, was quite rude. Wouldn't reopen for the duration of their business hours. Bad for business. We went elsewhere. This was in February.

We've ordered cakes from Sweet several times and when they were on 4th St, would pop in for some yummy gluten free cupcakes. Last year, they made our wedding cake gluten/dairy free because my husband and I are sensitive to those foods. It was beautiful and oh so yummy! Unfortunately, our groom's cake was destroyed in a car accident on the way to our wedding and we never had a chance to see it. They quickly made us another cake which was delicious but they didn't have to time to perfect it. For our anniversary this year, I ordered that same grooms cake (in the shape/style of my husband's tennis racket). Daniel is truly an artist with cake decorating. The detail he put into the cake to make it look like the specific racket was amazing. My husband loved it! I will always order my cakes and cupcakes through Sweet

My perfect emergency wedding cake

I just moved to Florida as was getting married in a few weeks. All my wedding plans needed to be changed because my fiancé and I needed to move to St. Petersburg right away for his job opportunity. Going through the listings myself was a little overwhelming and I soon gave up. My husband and I went to a lunch place in down town next to Sweet! and I wanted a cupcake after lunch. Going in I saw news articals about wedding cakes they had made and I thought I'd see what they had to offer. Daniel was very helpful and new exactly what I was looking for even though I didn't have any pictures. Being new to Florida I of course wanted to have a beach style wedding. I wanted to have a sandcastle wedding cake. Sweet made me a delicious cake with Guava filling and it was truly amazing. They even put brown sugar "sand" around the bottom and it really looked like sand. My guests all love the cake, it was moist and delicious. Thank you Sweet for making my wedding cake even better than I could have imagined.

Be careful of cross contamination. They use GF ingredients but it's definitely not Gf.

I first contacted this bakery in May for an October wedding. Went though the preliminaries: What size cake, theme, etc...including my Celiac Disease. I am gluten free due to this. Not because it is a fad diet. I get very ill from ingesting gluten. No bakeries in my immediate area can accommodate me. The photo gallery showed beautiful cupcakes and wedding cakes. I was so relieved.

Due to an illness in the family, I had to wait until this month for our tasting. I had sent pictures of ideas and a picture of our cake topper. Made sure that they had at least TWO phone numbers for contact as well as my email. The tasting was scheduled for 8/6 at 11:30 am. Today (8/5 I called because their webpage lists three addresses two of which are listed as gluten free facilities) I called to confirm an address. I was informed abruptly that they are changing offices and that my tasting could not happen. This was less than 24 hours out from the time we planned. No one was going to call and inform me of this. They first told me that the offices were moving to Orlando, then corrected it to St. Pete (which is where the address is listed to start with). Then they asked where I was coming from. I told them Spring Hill. (not that far out) and he asked if we were vacationing in St. Pete. He also then asked what flavor we wanted to taste, my experience with cake tastings (and by a photo on their facebook) is that whatever flavors are available you sample. I asked if he would call when the move was completed, and was told I should call myself though he wouldn't give me a time frame to do so. I contacted them via email to explain my concerns. I received a very passive aggressive response telling me "Good look with finding someone else to do this for you."

Horrible! The only options for GF are vanilla and chocolate, for both cake and frosting. The services was no better, the woman was rude, didn't complete my order properly (how hard can it be with 4 combination options...) and didn't even make which cupcake with GF and which was not. I will never go back!

We've tried these a few times. The chocolate and vanilla were pretty good, but other flavors were not good at all. The frozen ones at whole foods are better.

The wonderful people at Sweet! made cupcakes for a pre-reception house party my mother-in-law threw, and they were DELICIOUS. they were all gluten-free, chocolate-chocolate, chocolate-butter cream, and Red velvet-cream cheese. SO GOOD!! my mom hates everything gluten-free on principle, and she loved these. They were HUGE!! more like mini-cakes! Thanks so much, keep up the good work!

Best Gluten free and regular cupcakesOne of several trendy little cupcake shops that opened during the last few years, Sweet! is a good place to stop for those craving a quick dessert that fits in the palm of your hand. The flavors are good (I snarfed down a German Chocolate and my partner inhaled the Turtle flavored option). While tasty, the sugary cupcake fillings were perhaps a little over-the-top since I felt like I was eating far more icing than actual cupcake. They were tasty, but they seemed just like the cupcakes you can order from any cupcake shop anywhere. I've easily made very large batches from scratch at home (using Cooks Illustrated recipes) that resulted in far better quality cupcakes - and that goes for EVERY cupcake shop I've ever visited. Sweet! is a good option though, if you do not have the time or inclination to do it yourself, especially since they will take catered and customized orders; you can also "build your own" for just an individual cupcake, which is a nice option. Overall, I recommend this place if you can't or don't want to do it yourself, and it is very convenient to run in and satisfy a quick sugar craving.
