I had heard from others with celiac that they felt safe eating at Sweetgreen in other cities so I decided to try here. Everything on the website is well labeled as to what has gluten in it. I’ve eaten here twice, the first time with no issue. The second time I went to pick up my order and there was a piece of bread on top of the salad. I had not checked the box for bread while ordering. If I could go back, I would have gone in person to order so I could have been clear about cross-contamination because there is no option when ordering online to leave a comment or say you have an allergy or dietary restriction. I have since communicated with their customer service and suggested they add this to prevent this from happening to people in the future.
Absolutely delicious with high quality ingredients! Items with gluten are marked on the menu and the rest is gluten free. Employee that took my order wasn’t super knowledgeable about gluten free options but the company provides the ingredients to each item on their website so that’s helpful!
Food is good but beware!! The staff here basically don’t know anything about Celiac or gf and always seem to be new or not knowledgeable about anything. I usually ask them to change their gloves. I usually get the harvest bowl no almonds. I wonder what other locations are like but the service here is questionable so come prepared to know what is safe or not for your specific situation as you will have to help guide them.
Generally I love Sweet Green and they are my go to for a quick GF meal. This location makes delicious salad, but twice I have eaten here and found a crouton or other piece of bread in my salad though I ordered it GF. Delicious, but if you are concerned with cross contamination make sure to either go in and order so you can make sure it’s made right, or try a different location.
Also if you use the app to order it you can put in dietary restrictions and it will note if there is anything you can’t have in their premade bowls. Very helpful.
