After being reassured by the owner, Mary, that everything in the bakery was gluten free I ordered a cookies and cream cupcake. I had half of the cupcake and quickly began having a reaction that lasted for days. I am so careful with what I eat and have had Celiac for 15 years, this felt like a slap to the face. It is OBVIOUS the cupcake was not gluten free even after contacting Mary to let her know I had a horrible reaction to the cupcake and asking her to confirm it was gluten free, which she did. I will never be back.

Definitely believe I was glutened after eating a cinnamon roll from here. I had not had anything else to eat or eaten out recently, everything in my home is gluten free, and I felt completely fine before eating it (I had a reaction within 30 minutes like I have in the past). I am continuing to have glutening symptoms so I do not think it was food poisoning. There are also at least 5 other people in my gf group that had reactions after eating there. I bought a cupcake too but I’m too afraid to eat it. I did message the owner and she said everything is 100% gluten free… I’m not exactly sure what happened but want others to be aware so you can make an informed decision.

I had a wonderful experience last week at Sweetheart Treats; it was my birthday and was desperately looking for a bakery when I found Mary! Everything at this bakery is gluten-free, a celiac dream! I tried almost everything off the menu and it was all delicious, no reactions for me! My favorite items are the cake pops and cinnamon rolls, it’s been a long time since I had a good gluten-free experience like this in a while, grateful for business owners like Mary!
