Excellent cocktails but the food was not a success. I got a burger which was dried up, and the bun was a hockey puck. Not worth the $19 price. No gf fries.

Menu states they can't guarantee GF, no dedicated space in the kitchen and shared fryer. I ordered pulled pork nachos, sweetwater burger, and a graft dry cider. IMO the food wasn't good. Like it was fine but it wasn't good. The service was great, at least.

I got cross contaminated. Stay away from this one.

I was surprised by the low ratings. We got into town late and had limited options open on a Sunday night. I was very happy with my burger and mashed potatoes. They had a nice GF menu.

Waited 15 minutes before waiter even approached our table. Absolutely not celiac-friendly. The wait staff seemed incredibly disengaged when I tried to ask questions about gluten free and how it's handled in their kitchen.

Ordered a gluten free burger and a cider. The food was OK but nothing to rave about. Within 10 minutes of leaving I knew I had been cross contaminated. Never again.

This restaurant was recommended by this app. So I decided that it would be a good safe place to eat. However, as soon as I got there I realized how unsafe it was. I asked for a salad. This salad was supposed to only have lettuce and tomatoes on it. Nothing else. When I got it they delivered it with croutons on it. I only wanted to have a salad. A plain salad that had nothing on it. These incompetent servers should not have served me. I would not recommend this place for anyone unless they want to have unsafe and terrible experience.

Changed my review because I had the absolute worst salad ever it was a bed of lettuce and a piece of over cooked salmon. It was just pathetic.

I don’t know what’s going on here. I (used to) go there for nachos, so ordered the nachos every time. Always the tricolor tortilla chips, always assured those are the gluten-free ones, and never had a problem. Then I went recently, was told no, the tricolor chips are cross-contaminated, and the white corn tortilla chips are the celiac safe ones. So I assumed something had changed, and had those. And got sick. Definitely gluten. And like an idiot I did that twice (had to confirm); the second time I was assured again that no it’s definitely the white corn chips that are gluten-free, sorry for the mix-up and being served the wrong stuff earlier. After getting sick again that time, no more Sweetwaters nachos for me.

If I could send you a picture of the bun, I guarantee you would t order it. The service was very friendly but exceptionally slow. The burger wasn’t great and the coleslaw was oily and weird. No reaction but i wouldn’t recommend.

Food was delicious, staff was knowledgeable, came recommended to us from a UVM student with food allergies. They have a fairly extensive gf menu. We had 3 different salads and shared an order of chicken nachos - all with no problem.

They did not have a dedicated fryer and waitstaff wasn’t very knowledgeable. Nothing on regular menu is marked GF but they do have a GF menu that doesn’t seem up to date.

Very accommodating to GF diners. They had 'Against the Grain' GF rolls for their burgers, which are phenomenal. Our server was knowledgable and we had a wonderful lunch.

Great restaurant on Church St. in downtown Burlington. Dedicated gluten free menu with lots of delicious choices. Staff were celiac aware. Ate there several times during a recent visit to Burlington, and no problems at all. Highly recommended.

Good gluten free menu with lots of options. Cole slaw was great ribs were overlooked/charred and I had to ask for sauce. Very disappointing. Our kids who can eat gluten liked the wings and chicken tenders.

Don't count on not being cross contaminated here they are too busy. Food is good, GF bread is good but for true celiacs be warned they butter the buns too.

Great menu and they do offer hard cider (Woodchuck of course, and Redbridge).

I ordered the steak as did my boyfriend, however his potatoes were deep-fried while mine were not (mine tasted better, he said!). Food was delicious!

GF recommended, they offer a full blown gluten free menu, from appetizer to dessert. I told the table server that I needed to strictly eat gluten free. Order an appetizer and a hamburger with special gluten free bun off the gluten free menu. When I took the first bite it struck me that the bun was way too good to be gluten free. Asked for the server, she was not available, another table server assured me that it was indeed gluten free and that I would also be charged more for that. Took a second bite then our table server came and immediately apologized for not understanding that I needed to eat gluten free !!! After me saying it, pointing at the items on the gluten free menu that, btw, is totally different from the regular menu. She asked for the manager, he came and he did not seem to understand the gravity of the mistake made. He offered to take the price of the burger and of my glass of wine off the bill. That was it.

They offer a gluten free menu, but both the server and the manager clearly were not at all trained on the issue of gluten free and gluten intolerance. The manager treated the mistake as a normal mistake made by the server, did not understand the extent of the issue at all.

I will never recommend this place to anyone with gluten intolerance. The restaurant shall be taken off the list.
