Swell Taco

These were the best tacos we have had in the States, hands down!

That they were GF for our kid who has Celiac and was craving fried fish was a major bonus, but we certainly didn’t expect excellent flavor and service on top of the that. By far the best dining experience we had in Homer and so memorable that we are trying to figure out how we can recreate something half as good at home.

The only food item that was not 100% GF was the gluten-reduced local beer in the beer batter of one item. They also try to offer as many dairy-free options as possible. Our Celiac kid had zero problems with this kitchen and she was so delighted by the experience that she wanted one of their stickers for her water bottle. She’s still talking about how good the tacos are!

Almost everything on the menu is gluten free. Amazing tacos and no reaction. Definitely plan to eat here again while on vacation. Everything is made from scratch.

Super delicious GF tacos at an unbeatable location. Everything is gluten free. I had the fried rockfish taco, halibut cheek taco and ceviche. Everything was so fresh and delicious. I wish I could get fried fish tacos this good at home.

THRILLED to find a restaurant that features a completely GLUTEN-FREE KITCHEN!!!! Please don't ever compromise and bring gluten in house. There are so many people like me who never get to eat out due to severe allergies/ celiac and once we find you we will be loyal forever! This taco shop on the Homer spit was fantastic. Thank you so much! Made my day!

They use a gluten-reduced beer for their fried avocados, so I’d be cautious of those and the chips fried in the shared oil if you have celiac. Staff is very knowledgeable though and everything else is absolutely delicious.

Swell tacos is a completely gluten free taco stand! We had their carnitas and carne asada tacos and the flavor was incredible. It was a relief to not have to worry about cross contamination! Excellent food excellent service! We will be back!
