Black Forest Cake, end of story.

Of course, this is a BAKERY, it’s not dedicated GF, and I would assume wheat flour is flying through the air, so they cannot guarantee anything. However, this heavenly cake is made with almond flour. Our family which has three GF allergies in it has eaten this cake for almost 20-years without issue.

I’ve always loved this place but have mostly avoided it since going GF. So happy to know that they have lots of GF dessert options, including the black Black Forest cake, a chocolate mousse cake, all cheesecake, some cookies, some bread, and OMG kolaches!! Best find ever.

Went in today. It had been awhile since my last visit, so I asked about gf options. The lady at the counter didn't know, but she was helpful in trying to answer my questions. Basically the chef said they couldn't guarantee anything. I ordered bratwurst and potato salad, which I've ordered before. It was excellent, and I had no problems. The spicy mustard is gluten free also. They have local oven gf rolls, but be careful. In my to-go order I had a local oven roll on the side and a "gluten" roll with my bratwurst (local Oven is smooth on top, gluten roll has a crease down the middle). Their black Forrest cake is gf.

Four stars because the food is great. Unfortunately cross contamination and lack of knowledge on the staff's part is an issue.

The waitress said that there wasn't anything gluten free to go on the gluten free bun. She said that all she knew was that they had a gf bun. I chanced it and ate a ham sandwich and didn't get sick. I wouldn't have normally stayed to chance it but I had a toddler that I didn't want to haul somewhere else. If they offer a gf bun it would be greatly appreciated if they knew of the seasonings on the burger or ham for the sandwich were gf also. Very disappointed.

The gf black forest cake was amazing. Tried a ham sandwich, and they by far have the best gf sandwich roll I've ever had. They were very accomodating to celiacs.

Seem to have some sort of made-to-order cake yet that doesn't translate to their regular menu. Sat down for brunch and inquired as to what was gluten free (eggs, meat, fruit even). Waitress said nothing was gluten free, nothing. We got up and left.
