I got glutened! I went to this restaurant because they have GF indications on the menu.
I ordered a salad that had a “quinoa and bean” mixture in it that was labelled GF on the menu.
Took 2 bites. Realized this was not just quinoa. Looked closer. There was definitely barley in the mixture. Talked to manager, told him to ask the kitchen what was in it. He asked “there’s gluten in barley?” Honestly I am so sick of people in food service - especially a restaurant manager - not knowing what has gluten in it.
Anyway he confirms yes there’s barley in this thing I ate. Says he takes it seriously. Is contacting the exec chef. I told him you cannot list this as gluten free on your menu. It’s dangerous and will make people sick.
He gave me an alternative salad, comped my meal and gave me a gift card, but I won’t be going back. How can I trust their menu now when they have a barley-containing dish listed as GF. (eye roll)
Anyway. I’m sick now. :(
No
Staff told me there were no gluten free options. I drank tea while my family ate. Disappointing experience

They offer GF options and have amazing GF Alfredo pasta dish with rice bun. Take extra care and make sure your meal is separate from others.
