Taco Republic

I keep getting sick here. I've learned to avoid the chips even though not all the staff knows their chips are cross contaminated. I try to play it safe and get the chicken s&p tacos. I've gotten sick the last 2 times I've eaten there. I think the worst part is the staff doesn't know their food or what is safe, and the menu is misleading.

This is one of my favorite taco joints in town. Almost all the tacos are GF and everything is clearly marked. I’m celiac and have had no problems ever.

None of the staff had any understanding about gluten except to day they could put things on corn tortillas. They could not say whether marinated and spiced meats were gf. One waiter said there was no dedicated fryer snd they did not segregate a prep area for gf. The risk was too high so I left without eating.

All of their tacos are available in corn tortillas (gluten free) and their tacos are amazing. It is a fantastic choice for anyone who has celiac like I do.

Always great food with good service. They easily modify to meet GF needs.

Lots of different gf options, NOT your typical mexican food. Street tacos (lighter/different than usual tacos), chicken fajitas good, cheese is mixed with something different. All of the food had some heat to it (spicy), even the kiddos. Good flavor but definately gave us terrible indigestion. Safe stop, bring some tums :)

It really would be nice if their chips were safe to eat. 😢

What an amazing experience! I am new to the whole gluten free eating plan and the staff here were helpful and pleasant. The food was wonderful. Great atmosphere also...can't wait to come back again next time I am in Kansas City.

Amazing! And almost everything is gluten free!!! I have celiac and didn't get sick at all!! So excited about gluten free tacos I don't have to make. Woooooo
