Stopped here on the way to volcano national park. We were able to BYOB and the view was so nice. I had the steak and eggs for breakfast and got a mock Donald burger to go so I would have a safe GF meal for dinner. Food was delicious! Staff was so welcoming and friendly. The only downside is that their restroom is a porta potty.

Such a quaint little place. Wonderful views and just a perfect little spot. Must stop if heading to green or black sands beaches. Staff is VERY welcoming as well. Plus everything is 100% gluten free and reasonably priced. If I come to big island again I’ll return.

Amazing place! We had the best time here. The food was incredible and there was a huge variety of food offered. The fruit waffle is a must try! We also really enjoyed the ambiance of this place and chatting with the owner. Beautiful scenery and great stop on the way to Volcanoes National park.

Had the best burger of my life and the duo running the restaurant are delightful. The food here is absolutely spectacular. It’s an absolute must if you are GF and visiting Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.

Such a delight! Everything was gluten free and the staff were so friendly. Food was delicious. If you are on the big island, be sure that you find this local gem.

We just finished eating here and I had to immediately write a review because it was such a wonderful experience! Everything we ate was flavorful and delicious, the owner and chef of the farm (who is Celiac, so the whole thing is gluten free and safe) was so kind and wonderful to talk to, as was the waitress/hostess. Our 4 year old son loved meeting the bunnies and donkeys on the farm as well. This is definitely a must stop by for a local, fresh meal!

Everything Gluten Free!! What an experience. Outdoor patio in someone’s backyard. Port-a-Potty, with outdoor water from a jug. Live music Tuesday night. Chef is celiac, so no gluten anywhere. Open limited hours, 4-7pm on Tuesday night. We waited about 30 minutes for a table. No place to sit (the musician’s truck was in front of only bench seating, which was right next to dinners). We ordered at cash register (they take credit card), and then stood waiting for a table, and then waited for food a bit. We were there for about an hour and a half. Burgers, fish tacos, salads, filet mignon, shrimp. Fries, and sweet potato fries. Lots to choose from. I’m assuming no liquor license, but other patrons brought their own wine and alcoholic beverage.

Plain cheese cake with blueberries and slices of bananas was awesome. Large, soft chocolate chip cookies.

Recommend.

This place is amazing. Gluten free everything. I had an ahi burger with sweet potato tots-so good! My husband had a beef burger and said it was cooked perfectly. The husband-wife team is wonderful too. The place is on a small road on a dragon fruit farm. Highly recommend!

I don’t usually review places but for this one, I just had to. This place was phenomenal. We stopped on our way back to Kona from Volcano National Park and we are so happy we did. Everything was gluten free. I got the Ahi Burger and the fish was incredibly seasoned and delicious. Beyond that, the bun! Those of you who are gluten free know gluten free buns are hit or miss…mostly miss. This was a grand slam. I’m unsure how it was made but I had to double check to be sure it was actually gluten free. Kids has Mac and cheese and loved it. Wife had ahi steak. Pineapple upside down cake and carrot cake also good. Can’t recommend enough. If you are in Kona and are celiac or gluten free, I highly recommend making the drive.

This entire restaurant is GF! It’s a lovely outdoor kitchen with a beautiful view of the ocean. Everything that we ate (6 people) was amazing!

Best place I’ve eaten yet! Owner is celiac and everything on the menu is gluten free!!! My husband and I split the Cuban and steak sandwiches both were incredible and full of flavor! We also ordered the fried rice to take with us- a definite must try! The fried rice is the best I’ve had since going gluten free! His wife also makes the baked goods and we grabbed a carrot cake cupcake, peanut butter with cream cheese cookie and a peanut butter cookie for our adventures later! You can explore the dragon fruit,pineapple, and other little items in their garden while you wait on your food. If your in the area it’s a must stop!

Wonderful restaurant and experience. My husband described it as shangri la. The restaurant is in a small beautiful outdoor covered space, with a view of the dragonfruit farm out to the ocean. The husband and wife team who own and operate the restaurant are delightful. And the food! It was amazing for our whole family. Our kids had simple cheeseburgers and fish and chips. My husband and I had fancy wonderful steak and shrimp dishes.

We are staying in Waikaloa and were on the fence about taking the long way home from Volcano National Park in order to go to this restaurant. We are so glad we did!

This is a dedicated GF restaurant. I had one of the best meals in Hawaii and experiences here. They also bake and have amazing GF desserts! I had the macadamia but crusted fish and hands down the best panna cotta with delicious tropical fruit, including dragon fruit from their own farm! I highly recommend it! I will definitely be going back to try some of their sandwiches and definitely more of their baked goods!

EVERYTHING is gluten-free!!! We couldn't believe we found a place like this. They have 10 burger choices, 7 kinds of tacos, and some baked goods (lemon pound cake, carrot cake,...) and breakfast all day on Sunday.

Food was excellent, service was top notch. The ocean view is also spectacular.

My wife has celiac and wants to come back here every day.

Everything is GF! and fresh made by them. I got a grilled cheese and the bread had literally just came out of the oven, so delicious, I definitely recommend, especially if you are celiac.

This is an amazing, dedicated gluten free farm to table outdoor restaurant/farmstand. Kevin, the chef and owner, has celiac disease himself and everything in his kitchen is dedicated gluten free. The Big Kahuna Burger and fries were voted best ever gf burger in our family. Our daughter loved the ahi burger and sampled an assortment of delicious tacos. Tai Shan also offers home-made fizzy drinks, marinades and a great selection of baked goods. So far we've tried the chocolate chip/macadamia nut cookies, the carrot cake, and the honey cups - each one absolutely delightful. The farm is up on the Western slope of Mauna Loa and the outdoor setting offers a beautiful view of the ocean. Tai Shan Farms is about an hour south of Kona and absolutely worth the drive. We will be back!!!
