I am giving two stars for their GF effort. After reading the other reviews I felt somewhat safe going to dinner at this steakhouse for daughter-in-law’s birthday. My food was prepared in the back and delivered by a waiter who was making sure my food was gluten free. My soup was different from the others, but it was delicious. He said there was fried onion in the regular soup. I thought I could not have the ginger salad dressing, but he assured me it was gluten free and the only alternative was ranch which he told me was not gluten free due to mayonnaise. Mayo is usually gluten free, but he was sure this wasn’t. Everything I was served was delicious, and was brought to me as others in our party was served. My stomach started to hurt about 20 minutes after I started eating. Ten minutes later I was in their bathroom (which is another reason for the low rating as it was filthy -toilet paper everywhere on the floor - dirty sinks and toilets). After going back to the table I let my husband know that something got into my food and I wasn’t sure if we could make it home (20 minute drive) without having to stop. But, I then had to run to the bathroom again and that is where I was stuck until after some of our party left. I was in pain all night and spent my night on the toilet. I’m wondering if my food got contaminated in the back, or if it was the ginger dressing. I’m hoping someone can tell me for sure about the dressing. It is now Saturday - we went out Friday night. My belly is getting better and I’ve only been in the bathroom a few times. It will probably be a couple of weeks before I’m back to normal. This is the stuff Celiacs go through. I rarely eat out by choice - it is usually some type of family celebration. In fact, we purchased an RV so that we can have decent vacations - I cook my own food and have my own restroom instead of getting glutened and being stuck in a hotel bathroom for vacation.

Was afraid to come, but so glad I did !!!! All I had to do was ask if they had GF soy sauce and the sever quickly asked if I was GF I said yes and didn't have to say another word! Each course that was brought out and handed to me and I was then reassured that it was gluten-free by the server, different soup, a different salad dressing, they even told me what I could and could have. Automatically gave me extra rice instead of noodles and cooked on separate side of the grill but still right in front of me! Anytime they need to use non GF sauce they made sure my food was cooked first and plated!! I will return for sure !!

I don't know why they are on this app. There is no gf menu. The server was familiar with what gf was, said they had gf soy sauce and suggested a tempanyaki combo dinner. None of their sushi is gf. After several times of her going back to the kitchen, informed me that no soup was gf even though they've served people miso before saying it was gf. I couldn't have the noodles, so they gave me extra rice. The salad was literally just iceberg lettuce with ranch, since ginger dressing is also not gf. My meal was mediocre at best and my stomach hurts already, even though she said they would clean the grill first and prepare it separately with gf soy sauce. It also smells bad and we service restaurants for a living, so I know the rancid kitchen smell well. I was excited to have Japanese food for the first time in years, but will not come back here again.

So I was so nervous to go to the hibachi section of the restaurant with my friends but I really wanted to have fun with them so I called ahead a spoke with the manager who informed me I could bring in my own soy sauce and they would make sure not to cool using any of the other sauce. When I got there I reminded them who I was and I asked them to prepare my food in the back on a separate grill and to just bring it out when my friends food was ready. It was a really great experience and I'm sure ill be visiting again.
