Reported that everything is gluten free except for quesadillas, which are heated in a ?bag. Had the chicken tacos. Probably the safest option at midway, most other places are not marked nor knowledgeable.

Questioned the employees. The chips come to them fried (in a non GF fryer) so not safe. Corn and flour tortillas are warmed in the same equipment. Not Celiac safe.

Airport: They said everything was gluten free except the fish and the quesadillas! We got the chicken, carne asada, and shrimp tacos plus rice and beans. They had good flavor and it seemed like the best option for gluten free considering Connie’s nearby- who I heard is good about cross contact if you speak with them-was out of gluten free pizza crusts. I’m not so sure about cross contact at tall boys. I know the mental load it is to travel gluten free, hang in there!

I asked on behalf of my Celiac daughter if their guacamole was GF and was told it had gluten in it. I wouldn’t trust this place if you paid me.

My daughter had one carne asada taco and chips and guacamole, and she started to feel ill on our flight home. Although the lady who took our order was very helpful and told us that the quesadillas were not gluten-free because they’re made with flour tortillas, I’m not certain staff has been trained about cross-contamination. I should have asked how the chips were prepared (i.e., if they’re fried with other items on the menu that contain gluten), and I should have asked if the tortillas were warmed up on the same surface as flour tortillas. Tallboy Taco shows promise, but be careful.

Tallboy just opened in the airport concourse. The menu is a little different than the City locations but supposedly everything on the menu is gluten free except the fried fish taco and the burritos. I assumed the chips are not gf since they are also fried.

Tallboy Taco in Midway is a Celiac’s dream! My server confirmed everything if GF except the quesadillas. My celiac son and I enjoyed carne asada and chicken chimichurri tacos. Queso wasn’t hot so settled for chips and guac which was also fab. Chips were a bit greasy, but all the flavors were amazing and I was so thankful to have a safe meal option.

It doesn't seem like anyone who works at Midway has a clue what gluten free means. I was told that everything here was GF, but I had eaten less than a quarter of my chicken bowl before my stomach started to hurt. I should have clued in when the person at Tallboy Tacos insisted that the beer battered fish was GF. I've taken four activated charcoal pills, so hopefully that will help.

Some of the staff weren’t certain on gluten free but the manager said everything except the fish was gluten free. Expensive but filling. Will update if I get sick.

When asked they said everything except the quesadillas were GF. Portions were bigger than I expected from a previous review, but definitely airport prices!

Eating filling meals gluten safe meals in an airport can be difficult. I saw a review posted of this place and how it was 100% gluten-free so I decided to give it a try. I was highly disappointed! For starters when I went to order none of the wait staff knew anything about gluten. A person came out from the kitchen and answered my questions. I was not thrilled with all the answers. This particular location has gluten and does not follow as many across contamination steps as I’d like, but it was enough for me to order. I paid $14 for two small, dry, flavorless chicken tacos. I am happy to report I did not get sick, but the food was far from worth it. My bf who also got tacos and chips and salsa thought the same thing. I would be willing to give a different location a try but I would not come back to this one.
