They make a Detroit style GF square pie, it was alright. I was pretty full after only one slice due to the heaviness of it. I liked how the ends were crispy, reminded me of pizza hut crust. No symptoms afterwards which was great, as I am very sensitive to cross CX. It did take a long time to come out, alot of tables came in after us, ate, and then left before our food even came out. I wish the waitress would have kept us in the loop regarding the extra time for GF pizza, had I not read the other reviews on here prior to going I would have been baffled on the wait. Also make sure to book a reservation for dinner time, they don't really seem to take to walk-ins.
Best gluten free pizza hands down. Been ordering gf pizzas everywhere I go and this blew everything out of the water. So good Im going to learn how to make them (check out recipes for gluten free Detroit pizza online)
Server provided separate gluten free pizza menu and talked through which appetizers on the regular menu could be made GF.
We got the marinated olives as well as the hummus appetizer which came with fresh radishes and carrots for dipping. Both were tasty. The Beekeeper pizza was delicious. The pizza crust was fluffy and light with crispy cheese on the sides.
Very happy with my meal here.
It would be a shame for anyone to miss this place because of that previous poor review. Talula's pizza is honestly the BEST gf pizza I've ever had, except for in Italy. It's a thick square-pie crust. Yes, the service is slow. But yes, stay and eat the pizza anyway!!!! I promise it's worth the wait. I drive over an hour to get this pizza once a week in the summer. It's that good. They also have homemade vegan cheeses... I've been eating here since pre-vegan and the dairy pizza and vegan pizzas are equally incredible.
I went in and sat down, ordered our drinks and started asking about the menu. They were only able to do a build your own pizza gluten free with none of the brunch toppings. When i asked about the GF labeled items on the menu, such as the chillaquiles, i was told they do not have a dedicated fryer and the chips were made in house. The waiter who assisted us was unfortunately very unhelpful and made me feel very silly about asking all necessary questions to ensure i wouldnt get sick. We ended up canceling our drink orders and leaving because i did not feel safe eating here.
Went for brunch with a large group of friends - waiter was totally wonderful - got the pastrami hash my food took longer because they were being cautious with cross contamination which I was sooo excited about .. made me feel safe (always afraid when I go somewhere new) - didn’t get sick/hives.. truly had a great time - the gin & jam cocktail 🤤🤤🤤!!
