I had a great experience here! Beautiful restaurant with welcoming and knowledgeable service. The gluten free pita with babaganoush was so delicious. I also had the shish tawook with rice and tzatziki and everything was super flavorful. There were lots of gluten free options so I can’t wait to try more.

One of my fave gf spots in the city. Delicious, fresh, great atmosphere, and gluten free pita bread!

If you like Lebanese food and you are a celiac, this is the place to be! The food is delicious and the owner is a celiac so they have lots of knowledge of safely preparing gluten-free food. On the menu the gf items are marked but basically they can make everything gf. Very nice staff! Warning: the portions are very generous so beware that when you order all that delicious food you probably can’t eat it all. But no worries, they are prepared for that and will happily provide you with a box to take it with you! Highly recommended!!

So wonderful. I noted a gluten allergy in my Uber Eats order. My husband ordered a gluten containing dish for himself and they took the care to write on the packaging that it contained gluten. Everything was delicious and it was a treat to have gluten free pita.

We really enjoyed our time here. Our server was lovely! Ordering gluten free was easy. Everything gluten free on the menu was specified, our server was knowledgeable and caring, and when my dining companion ordered tabbouleh, our server even paused and warned us it that it does have gluten so not to share it. (I do wish there had been a gluten free version of tabbouleh - at home I make tabbouleh and instead of bulgur, I just add a Minute Rice cup of brown and wild rice mixture - the texture and flavor work perfectly.) My dining companion and I enjoyed our meal and left happy and completely satisfied.
The only reason I did not rate the safety of our experience more highly (I rated three hearts out of five) is that I did end up with symptoms of gluten exposure a few hours after eating, and I feel fairly certain this was the source. Here is what I think happened. My sandwich had accidentally been made with regular pita. My server caught the error before it was brought out and asked the kitchen staff to remake my sandwich with the gluten free pita. He then brought my companion their food and let me know mine was on the way. I think the kitchen staff might have made an error at this point, and it could have been something as simple as forgetting to change gloves.
I would still try this place again in the future if I lived locally, but I would be more careful about asking questions if anything unexpected comes up.

The owner of this place is a Celiac. It’s 100% safe. They make your meal in a separate area of the kitchen. I write Gluten Allergy when I order through Ubereats. I have had no problems. They have GF Pita bread, they can make sandwiches with it too. But make sure you ask for the GF version. If you end up eating at the restaurant ask for Cheese Fatayer made gluten free and they will make it. You should definitely try it because, It’s so delicious.

We had Tanoor cater our wedding, and let me tell you - BEST CHOICE EVER.
Everything was super safe, and the owners are the sweetest people. We love going to both the Seattle and Sammamish locations. Cannot recommend more.

I can’t decide if I like it or find it too greasy or if it’s really actually safe for celiacs or not. I’ve had them occasionally delivered but I don’t always feel the best afterwards. Hard to tell. I’m on the fence on this one.

Been here twice now and it is the best middle eastern restaurant I have ever been to in my life. And I am Lebanese!! Most of the menu is gluten free and clearly labeled. You simply must get the fried halloumi. GF pita is very fire. And shout out to our server Miss very nice guy!

They have an allergen list online and many items are gluten free or can be made gluten free. They have gluten free pita. We were told that the owner (I think) is celiac and they are willing to accommodate dietary needs. The food was delicious and the servers were nice.

Based on the good reviews here, we had high hopes for Tanoor when we had dinner there, but it turned out to be rather disappointing.
To be fair, we had some excellent small plates, and if you order selectively, you can have a very good, safe, gluten-free meal there. They also have a gluten-free fryer for those of you who crave some fried food such as the flash-friend cauliflower, Arambeet, which is very tasty, and the French fries and halloumi fries (fried halloumi cheese) - neither which we tried though. The babaghanouge (eggplant based dip) was delicious with warm, gluten-free pita bread too.
But the the entrees we ordered fell short. The falafels on the Lebanese falafel plate that my gluten-tolerant other half ordered were room temperature, and the non-gluten-free pita bread was stale, dry and lukewarm. The chicken shawarma that I ordered was meh.
Finally, Tanoor adds a 5% service charge to the bill of dine-in parties under 6 which is described as “not a tip,” a practice that I consider to be a deceptive, back-door way of charging more than the stated price.

I’ve done takeout from the Sammammish location and it was great! We just went to eat at the downtown location and I felt a little shy as they make their regular pita in house so seemed like potential for airborne flour. The kitchen is in a separate area and they do have a dedicated fryer.

Several members of the family that owns the business have celiac and they are very aware and accommodating (and super nice). The GF pita is delicious, especially as part of the shawarma sandwiches. Most of the menu is GF or available GF.
