This is my Favorite Mexican restaurant in Atlanta!! And the only place I can have fried shrimp tacos. One time they brought out my tacos on wheat tortillas, so make sure you double check with the server to make sure the kitchen staff understands the allergy.

Delicious food and friendly staff. Unfortunately, got gluten or cross contamination after speaking with staff and told items were gluten free. VERY sick- beware if you have celiac

We ate here for the first time today. So many selections to choose from and only a few things are not gluten free. I have celiacs disease and I am very sensitive. I had no reactions. They have a dedicated fryer. I had the enchiladas with red sauce with brisket, it was incredible. You won’t regret trying this place.

So many delicious options. Taco salad is even in a gf tortilla shell. Almost everything on the menu is gf or marked as a flour product.

This place was amazing! I’m a super sensitive Celiac and had seen good reviews of this place so we decided to try it out. The wait staff was so helpful and friendly. I got the taco salad in a GF tortilla bowl and it was amazing. No issues at all and will definitely be going back! We also got a margarita pitcher and they will bottle up part of the pitcher for you to take home with you!

I found my new favorite Mexican place. Taqueria El Vecino is awesome. They have a dedicated fryer, so I can have the fresh chips. The fried avocado appetizer is awesome. I almost always order the red Chile beef enchiladas that are made with brisket and also the chicken and bacon enchiladas with a mushroom sour cream sauce. This last time I also tried the tacos and they were also good (though I prefer the enchiladas). The servers have all been very knowledgeable, and it has even been great for my vegetarian wife. I have tried her sweet potato plantain enchiladas and ones with spinach/goat cheese. I think they also have desserts that are gluten-free, but I haven’t tried any. Pro tip: the takeout menu online is really specific with what sides are gf, what to swap out to make gf, etc. But the regular menu for some reason doesn’t show the gf options. One of my pet peeves is not being able to order takeout from places because I can’t figure out what to change to make it gluten-free. In any case, go try this place. It really was awesome.

I was unsure about this place for years because the menu in the restaurant does not show the gluten free items. Now I (we) can be more adventurous because the online to-go menu breaks everything down. I’ve eaten here multiple times since with no issues. Chicken enchiladas, soup, tamales, chips and salsa! Yum!
Side note: a previous review (by a celiac) mentioned eating a Korean taco which is NOT gluten free. At least on the current menu.

Very good food! Almost everything can be made gluten free (except the mole sauce). Anything breaded (fried avocado, fish, shrimp and chicken ) is all gluten free by default! Dedicated fryer for chips. Salsa bar where you choose your own salsas is amazing! We come here often!

The best!!!! I’m very sensitive celiac and have never gotten sick. Menu is great, owner is very knowledgeable, one of our go to places!! And a favorite among friends who have no food allergies, it’s just a great, friendly neighborhood Mexican spot.

Very yummy tacos, dedicated fryer, great tamales and margaritas! Tons of GF options. Our waitress was really sweet and knowledgeable about the menu and what had gluten.

I loooove this place and pretty much everything is GF, as long as you make sure to have the corn tortillas! They also have GF desserts!

One of the best Tacquerias. The fried shrimp taco is addictive and the smoked chicken-Yummm
Stopped here while visiting family in Atlanta. Waitress was very kind and assured me it was safe for my celiac daughter to eat there. She ended up eating some rice, black beans, corn tortillas, some of the chips, broccolini, and steak. I will remember this place whenever I’m visiting Atlanta. Seemed like a chill atmosphere and they brought both of my daughter coloring sheets and crayons. Great experience overall.

Very helpful staff and great menu. Flour tortillas and mole are the only things with gluten. I was able to get a quesadilla (three small corn tortillas instead of one big flour tortilla). Chips and salsa bar were good too. Dedicated fryer!

Delicious food! Reformulated menu since we were last here. Only things with gluten are flour tortillas and mole sauce. Nothing with gluten goes in fryer so my son can even have fried fish tacos! Very fresh ingredients.

I have celiacs and we eat here often. The staff is helpful and I've never gotten sick after eating here.
Americana tacos are great & staff is careful with my allergy.

Excellent food!!!
The chips were so stale that I sent them back. They have a list of items that may have gluten, fair enough. The smoked pork tacos were served on flour tortillas, by the same server who had handed me the gluten list. when the new order of pork tacos was ready, the cook rang not once, but twice. The server was too busy chatting with other customers to deliver the new tacos. The tacos were good but were not "Mexican food." I am from Austin, Texas, so I may be a little picky about Mexican food. Decent food, be very cautious if you cannot eat gluten, terrible service.

This is my new favorite spot! Aye there Friday for the first time and then again on Sunday! Almost the entire is gluten free or could be made gluten friendly. Tortilla chips are GF. Just tell them you're GF. Manager or owner was very helpful with menu. And they have gluten free cupcakes which are amazing!
Very satisfied and great food!
Lots of gluten free options. Most everything on the menu is gluten free or they can make it gluten free.
Quick service, friendly, casual.
Also very reasonable prices :)
