Tasaka Guri Guri Shop

Tasaka Guri Guri is a well known local favorite for a sweet and refreshing treat. It is a small family run shop located at the Maui Mall serving a unique creation that is something of a mix between ice cream and sherbet. There are only two flavors- strawberry and pineapple -and they're so good that's all you need :) The guri guri is always served as is in cups, and it's the only thing they sell so no need to worry about cc with cones, toppings etc. I used to go here all the time when I was a kid, but today was my first time back since finding out I have celiac. I figured this would still be a safe bet, and we spoke to the kind ladies running the shop to confirm. While they won't tell you exactly what is in the recipe (family secret), they seemed familiar with gluten-free and assured us we were good to go. So happy to still have this long time favorite spot.
