The staff was super nice and I had David as my waiter and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. He made sure to add that my steak was gluten free and for them to not contaminate it, my asparagus also. Listed below is what I got and it didn’t make me sick: Lettuce and most everything in the salad bar that typically is Bacon Olive oil and vinaigrettes (no salad dressings are gf) Filets Asparagus Pecans

Manager spoke with my grandmother and told us they don't guarantee any GF anything and that we're free to done at our own risk. basically told us to eat elsewhere

No GF menu. Staff very helpful and happy to do the best they could. I wouldn’t do the salad bar. It’s self serve so croutons spilling over to other toppings etc.

I love Texas history so I love the ambiance and decor of this restaurant. The waitress wasn’t very knowledgeable about gluten free so I stuck to other reviewers options. I got the salad bar and ranch dressing, filet steak, and a baked potato. There was no dessert option except fruit 👎🏼 I didn’t get sick and the food was delicious. But I have to give them 4 stars, they need to be a little more accommodating to GF needs.

I can't believe Taste of Texas even makes the list. Steak places almost always are gf, but Taste of Texas prints their menus in tons of languages (to accommodate travelers) but can't bother with a gf menu? Most fine dining establishments accommodate allergies very well without patrons having to ask the waiter a million questions.

I've never had a problem here - I get a steak and stick with the vegetables for sides.
When I order the quail bites, I ask them to leave off the fried jalapeno poppers or put them on a separate plate.

One of my favorite places when I visit Houston. Never had a problem here.
Great steak and sides. Been here several times and never been sick afterwards. Managers are super knowledgeable regarding celiac.
