There are lots of options, but cross contact seems to be an issue. I got very sick after eating here. I had a skillet with a side of GF toast.

They had a decent sized GF menu. I avoided the pancakes since I’d read that others had issues. I ordered a GF grilled cheese with bacon, American cheese, and avocado. It came with a side salad and fruit. I was assured that it would be made on a dedicated area of the grill that’s free of gluten. They brought my salad with a roll and crackers. I told the waitress I can’t eat those. She said “you can at least eat the crackers, right?” I immediately said that I’m not feeling too comfortable with their lack of knowledge. My grilled cheese then came without the bacon and avocado that the menu says it comes with. It had to be remade. The remade version tasted of old oil. At the end, my digestive system revolted as it does when I eat gluten. I had difficulty getting home, 15 minutes away, needing to stop to use a bathroom at Walgreens where I camped out for awhile. I do NOT recommend this place.

Tasty Biscuit was full of promise. They had a nice gluten-free menu. When I asked if the pancakes were cooked on a separate area of the griddle, the waiter said no, it was all cooked on the same place as other pancakes. I was sooo disappointed. I opted for bacon, egg & grits. The grits were creamy and delicious, so I didn't muss out on breakfast with my daughter & granddaughters.

As of Sunday morning, 2/6/2022, Tasty Biscuit in Bolingbrook has a dedicated Gluten-Free menu. Initially, I was impressed, and after seeing it online, was inspired to give this place a try. You have to ask for the menu, otherwise generic upcharges are listed on their normal menu for GF pancakes and French toast within those menu categories.
Celiac patients, beware! I almost ordered the Gluten Free French toast from their dedicated Gluten Free menu that was brought to me, but asked first if it was prepared on a separate cooking surface. Our server kindly went to ask in the kitchen and returned informing me it is not. Upon checking out, I asked a couple management members standing up front if entrees from their Gluten-Free menu are prepared/cooked on a dedicated cooking surface. I was told “no.” The alternative was that they could wipe it down.
Nonetheless, Tasty Biscuit caters to their restaurant patrons who have a Gluten Free “preference,” but not to those who have celiac disease and/or concern for cross-contamination. Offering a dedicated menu is a a little misleading, in my opinion. Generic disclosure on your normal menu that you have GF options for an add’l up charge should be suffice for those who just have a GF preference.
