Tavern Zbondini

I ate here with a large group on our last night of a wedding trip. The food was incredible. We ate the traditional Croatian cuisine Peka - the food is prepared under a bell using open fire. The taste was unlike anything I have ever tried before. You have to order ahead of time because it takes all day to cook. We ordered one fish, one veal and lamb (cooked in the same vessel), and one octopus. It comes with vegetables cooked in olive oil. If you’re looking for a new experience, visit this family restaurant. The drive to get there is a journey in and of itself! They are really great with gluten free - we also ordered the octopus salad, and zucchini. Everything was divine, I am still dreaming about it. I can’t wait to go back for more one day.
