They understood gluten free and told me what I could have and not have. They did bring out bread and a dessert but told me it was not for me. They then brought me out some Greek yogurt with honey as a dessert. They seemed very aware of what gluten was. They also told me, without asking that they had a dedicated fryer for the fries.

The staff here was knowledgeable about gluten. I had the chicken souvlaki and my husband had the grape leaves stuffed with rice. They have a dedicated fryer for the fries, so those are safe, too!

Before we could mention my gluten allergy, they did bring over bread. There was another server who brought us a non-gf dessert, even after we told our server I had celiac, so just be aware.

Taverna Gardenia was a nice restaurant with friendly staff and a great view. They have reasonably varied gluten free options: French fries, grilled meats, cheese and salads. The staff was knowledgeable and happy to check with the chef when we had questions. It was nice and tasty. We stopped here twice.

Delicious food and restaurant staff were very knowledgeable about preparing dishes gluten free. Fries are made in a separate fryer. Great atmosphere and people, highly recommend.
