Beware. They definitely offer GF bread for the cheese fondue, but the fondue itself is thickened with flour. I had a severe reaction after eating here. Take care.

The best service we have had yet while in Switzerland. Our fondues were delicious, and i was served a separate one with gluten free bread to prevent contamination from my glutenous partner. The price was surprisingly reasonable for a restaurant attached to a nice hotel, 29CHF pp, the outdoor seating was by a lovely japanese style water garden which helped with the heat. We will come back here!

Make a reservation is recommended. Everyone was aware of GF. Separate bread (individually wrapped) and butter. My husband ate GF with me so we could share the fondue. Didn't have time to do dessert, but choc fondue had several GF options for dipping. Very nice experience.
Very nice experience. We tried the chef’s fondue tasting menu that came with an amazing salad, rosti(potatoes), vegetables, cheese fondue and chocolate fondue. They brought out individually wrapped Schar GF bread for us which is not amazing but it was really nice to have a GF option.

Taverne had great waitstaff that was very knowledgeable. I was given a whole basket of gluten free bread for the cheese fondue in a separate pan. The waitress mentioned that they had gluten free buns for sandwiches as well. When the food came out, the runners knew which meal was supposed to be GF.
