A co-worker surprised me with a gluten free treat from a bakery I'd never heard of: Taye's Treats. I'm a sensitive celiac, so I'm always a little leery about eating without knowing how safe an establishment is for me. I reached out to the shop owner via her website and within less than an hour, she had responded. She gladly described her process for preparing gluten free goods periodically in her shop, reviewed experience and training she has, and reassured me that several celiac customers have been able to enjoy her goods without any problems. She was knowledgeable in her descriptions, so I rolled the dice. I'm so glad I did! The oatmeal cream pie was delicious and I had no issues whatsoever! I'll be adding her to my list of safe places to enjoy a treat, for sure!
