Drinks, oysters, and fish and chips all peak delicious. Gluten Free fryer. Menu is not marked gf but wait staff is super clear and on top of it and has great recommendations.
I had the virginica and olymipa oysters, fish and chips, ginger pear collins, orange colored sky. My partner had the crab roll and it was excellent, they were also told that the roll had gluten.
Wow wow wow!! What a great place, SUPER knowledgeable and helpful staff, both about allergies and about shellfish! This is a safe place to come and try some fantastic fish AND a safe place to enjoy some fried delights. Everything is tapioca floured and the fryer is dedicated gluten free. There’s a pride of product here that was really exciting to see. The menu does not specify anything is gluten free, but you can feel comfortable taking the risk and coming here to learn more!!
Recently changed all of their batter for fried foods to make gluten free! Initially asked my waiter and the change must be super recent because he didn’t even know. He was great about talking to the kitchen and someone came out to verify that the fried dishes were gluten free and the fryer is dedicated.
Had the fish and chips and fried oysters. Delicious!
Our server was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful about what contained gluten. Anything fried was gluten free which means gluten free fries, oysters, and fish and chips because they use tapioca flour! The servers knowledge and care helped me feel safe, enjoy my meal, and I didn’t get sick! This place is a hidden gem, check it out if you’re a seafood lover.
The fish and chips are now gluten free. I repeat: the fish and chips are now gluten free.
A few weeks ago, they changed their batters to be entirely gluten free. You can get fried clams, fried fish and fries gluten free.
They said they couldn’t guarantee that the chowder was gf since the vegetables are chopped off site for the chowder. I appreciated how careful they were by saying that. Even though the menu states that the chowder is gf.
Dawn was so accommodating and checked everything before I ate! I am not as sensitive as others so I was able to do the fish and chips since it is breaded in corn and tapioca (but fried in the same oil as everything else). It was so good!
We came looking for oysters in the half shell which would, of course, be GF. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable and knew her way around celiac concerns we also had pickled veggies and a scrumptious smoked oyster dip with gf kettle chips. The fryer is not GF but the chips are made off site. Plenty of yummy seafood items and Craft cocktails to be enjoyed here.
