Ted Drewes Frozen Custard

The girl that took my order suggested I just get custard with strawberries, so that is what I got. She did tell me if I wanted a mixer to just add fruit to avoid any gluten and she would clean the machine that mixes it, but I just stuck with the sure thing. It was delicious and I didn’t get sick. Would definitely go back!

Im celiac & I have eaten custard here for years!! I get a sundae to be safe. Never gotten sick at all! But I ALWAYS tell them I’m a gf celiac!!

The cashier told me to stick with the original custard and to do no toppings to ensure I didn’t get sick. She even got out a new bag of plastic forks in case there was any cross contamination. It was great and I didn’t get sick.

Frozen custard is very yummy! No problems here . I also didn’t order a concrete just ice cream with cherries.

As previous reviewer, Karen, suggested, ask them to clean the spindle and you'll be fine. The cashier was very attentive. We heard her make sure the person making the Concrete was aware that the spindle needed to be cleaned. My son, Celiac, enjoyed a Blueberry Concrete with no problems. Worth the brief detour off I-44 if you are just passing through St. Louis!

Will make a GF concrete for you, just let them know you need gluten free and ask for a clean spindle. So good!
