Tee Cafe @ Waipu Golf Club

NOTE: I believe the head chief who was celiac herself has left this cafe since I gave my review. Don’t think it is as safe as it was. Not sure if they are still celiac accredited.

Original review: Lovely staff, very helpful. Great GF menu. Yummy GF treats in the cabinet separate from other food. I felt very safe eating here and highly recommend it.

I was really disappointed. Turned up with high expectations based on these reviews but found GF hot pies on same shelf as gluten pies. GF slices on same shelf in cabinet as gluten ones. Tongs were all together in the one holder, so cross contamination was evident. They assured me they could something from the menu that was coeliac safe but I wasn't convinced based on what I had already seen. Was disappointed to see the coeliac society dining out certificate on display when the basics weren't even being done.....

Great food, friendly staff and lovely views. Felt very safe.
