The older male making the hand rolls could not be bothered to change his gloves. He gave the person who called it to his attention quite a bit of attitude right in front of me (either not knowing or caring that I was the person who needed such precautions taken). I found this out after he'd handed me the second roll (far too late). I'm now going to be trying to finish up a business conference and then be on a flight while having a full-blown reaction... it's already started and I'm extremely disappointed that this individual acted this way, particularly when right in front of me.
This is my go-to sushi place when I stay around the Cosmo. It’s on the second floor in cosmo, a cute little shop with about 6-8 bar stools. They make the rolls in front of you so it’s delicious and fresh. Even their Togo rolls are nice.
There are only three rolls that have gluten according to the server who told me this yesterday. No no items are the spicy tuna, bay scallops, and either the lobster or the two crabs I can’t remember which because of the sauces they use. I wasn’t going to spend over $10 so I didn’t bother with the shellfish items.
My go to items are salmon, yellow tail, and vegetable (surprisingly tasty!). They are very good about gluten allergies. The first time I was there, I asked for GF soy sauce and then ordered spicy tuna along other things. The chef immediately asked me if I have an allergy or just preference because the spicy tuna has gluten in it. I was so glad he did!
Price is somewhat alright for hand rolls and definitely cheaper than any other sushi places around that do GF items.
