Upscale omakase restaurant. I came here with my husband and showed the sushi chef my celiac card. He didn’t speak good English but confirmed he understood what the card said. Unfortunately after watching him prepare my nigiri I opted not to eat it. He uses the same surface to prepare all the items (although he wipes the prep board and knife off with a cloth obsessively). My main issue was he brushed the nigiri with soy sauce while the nigiri was in his hands and then handed it to each diner and then went back to make the next piece, touching other items with the soy sauce so cross contamination is likely common. Such a bummer since it looked delicious!
